PATH>DIFFERENCE @ 7:01 just splitted the design in my case. So I was seeing break up of blue design in 3 pieces (1 big and 2 bezier selections). Is there any other command other than Path>Difference, to delete Bezier selections?

It sounds like you may have selected the wrong items. Did you click the bezier shapes first, then shift-click the blue graphic?

Why when I select two figures and I give him in "Difference" he does not execute any action?

I have no idea why but 'difference' doesn't always work for me. Neither do 'union', 'intersection', 'exclusion' and 'division' always work. Especially on more complicated stuff. I often end up using 'Clip / Set' to get what I need but then that can later cause all sorts of horrible probs, especially if duplicating, raising or lowering, or reclipping, or cut and pasting . . . Drives me crazy :) I run into those same probs every time I use Inkscape - unless what I'm doing is very basic. PS Another one that doesn't always work is 'outset'. I just used union on a bunch of objects and wanted to outset them behind a copy of the objects but no go, just won't work.

had the same problem and realized that it doesn't work when I forget to union the two or more paths.

Make sure none of the objects are "grouped." Like Thiago said, they need to be paths. Once you group something together, the path functions won't execute on them.

Nick Saporito and Thiago Abreu. That'd explain a lot of it. I generally have multiple groups one on top of the other. ie: Skeletal structure - finished and grouped. Then flesh/skin - finished and grouped on top of the skeleton. Shadows and highlights - finished and grouped on top of the flesh/skin. So forth.

Some of them I come up with on my own, some of them are inspired by other designs and I re-create them using Inkscape to teach how the software is used. I always credit the originator of the design in the description in instance where I draw inspiration from it.
