Thought that the reason why the BO4 version of Woods said that Mason was in the container was because Mason's grand daughter programmed Woods to think that roles were reversed but I don't know how to explain how the BO4 version of Mason was slowly regaining his old memories back

Maybe the next game Gulf War will fill in the blanks. They did a small reference for Adler during the rebirth island American invasion. In usual Black Ops style this will go back and forward in time. If they do, they can only go backwards from Gulf War I imagine.

the first mission of Cold War also starts about taking down 2 targets who held Americans captive, and one of them (Arash) revealed he worked for Perseus so yeah the paths line up with the reason why woods was there with American soldiers

my question is did Hudson set up Mason death 1. Woods knew something was up with Hudson 2. in the e-mails on bo1 computer Hudson wanted Mason to be killed for various reasons 3. why does Hudson want Mason to join back to the Army let alone sent him and Woods to suicide missions because it was supposed to save Woods and go back to retirement not go spend several years back into the Army yes I know that Hudson was trying to project David but it does not make sense why keep Mason into the military if he didn't then Menendez would either be killed by woods during Nicaragua or Menendez would never go on a long path of vengeance it was Mason who deflected the grenade causing Menendez road for vengeance

Sorry but I don't see the mystery on this one, Woods was captured in Vietnam then he was rescued and did Declassified missions + CW missions and then Mason retired and Woods decided to continue his soldier path and went to Angola by the order of the CIA to support Savimbi in this civil war but unfortunately he got captured by Menendez who is involved because he is nicaraguan and "Nicaragua" was involved at that time and helping the MPLA. And so Menendez wanted only to gain informations from Woods's Squad Team so Menendez can go on and build his empire and that's it. Then BO2 starts with Mason and his son and Hudson asking for his help and come back to the field to rescue Woods's team because the mission was undercover and unfortunately buried. Sorry but I don't see the mystery here everything was explained and when the actor said who are those guys, or maybe did i miss something.

In the mission, Rebirth (BO1). You play as Alex Mason and team with "Reznov" to take out Steiner. In reality, Reznov was never there. It was just Mason. In some flashbacks, Reznov is in the crate in the beginning of the mission and sort of glitches to show Mason. If Mason was in Reznov's position, then who were we playing as?
