Inline skate boots often come with horribly shaped insole inserts - flat, no arches, no support. Then the boots are tied snugly - and bam! - your foot arches getting squeezed flat and resulting in an unbearable pain. I would recommend to anyone suffering from non-specific foot pain during skating (or any sport involving rigid boot shells, like alpine skiing) - to try to put some well shaped inserts, with proper arch support and proper support in the frontal part of the foot to prevent transverse flat feet. Works like a charm... :-)

This has helped me skating for over 25km without any issues afterwards! In the first weeks of skating with my new Powerslide Imperial boots, my ankles were chafed every time. They work best when I use them under my socks.

I use skate booties like those in both my inlines and my quads, because I have narrow heels. They really help to keep the heel from slipping around. I have to use gel ankle pads in my Sebas, and the booties help to keep them in place. Great invention!

You know, I was always wondering what those were. They offer both kinds, the capped one and not-capped, at one of my specialty inline store but I had no clue what they were aside from (at the time) what I guessed was "protection". Try some or all of the following: Add an extra insole. Use footies (as shown in this video). Wear thicker socks. Get waxed laces and try the heel lock lacing technique. Take the tongues from an old pair of sneakers and shove them between the liner tounge and boot laces.

That's called a hotspot, be carefull if the burn begins it's time to place those rings or blister socks.

The tongue of my right inline skate were pressing onto my lower front calf. This resulted in a nasty-ass blister. Wrapping thick bandages on that area reduced the pain though the blister did not vanish. Eventually the frequent sessions and a month's break caused the blister to permanently harden. Is it anything to worry about? I mean, i've got my own natural 'Footie' there.

Ezeefit is designed to be worn under your socks or with no socks at all, depending on your personal preference. If using socks, make sure Ezeefit is worn inside the sock, NOT on the outside.

Hey Ricardo Lino, what’s up man? I just wanted to reach out to your for some help. I’ve watched a few of your videos and it’s really good content. I’m new to aggressive skating I’ve always wanted to try but could not afford the skates in the past. Now that I’m older I can afford to buy my own skates. I did some research online to find the skates that would fit me best. I wear a size 13 in shoes. And there are not many skates in stock right now that have my size. I found a few pair though I went with the razor shima 1 reissue size 13. When they got here they were really tight and narrow with the liner. It feels like my foot is touching the tip of the shell with the liner. Without the liner my toes had good room and of course it was not narrow. I’m thinking maybe I should go up in liner size like a 14 maybe. I was looking into the Valo skate because that seems to be the only skate in my size that’s in stock. But I read that those are really narrow also. Do you think if I get the Valo skates with a size 14 liner I will be able to comfortably skate finally? What is your opinion/ advice? any info would be great.

Hi, shortly ago I bought a swell powerslide, but the boot caused me a bad bladder on the inner right malleol. I think for several reasons: I'm not an expert, bad sock (though on other skates it did not bother), and it's also a traumatic ankle 5 years ago (external peroneal malleol broken). I bought this anklet last week and I'm waiting for it to come and and I expect the ankle to heal. It does come into contact with the skin, under the stocking or above? I hope the ankle will heal soon to try it. Thanks for the precious tips😁👍

DragonFly, I just tested Swells and after 1 hour my inner feet area was hurting badly (blisters starting to appear). I wanted to buy them but I couldn't imagine it would go away so I didn't. Let me know how that Footie worked out for you.

sieram hi, I also used the swell for just over an hour and now I'm stopping since two weeks. In the left boot I always put on a sole (because my left leg is a bit shorter), the left foot is very comfortable! But I used the right boot only with the original sole, it caused me a deep bladder that still does not disappear, I believe in sock clutch. Stop everything ok, but moving no. You have noticed that it is a very enveloping shoe, so I'm afraid the gel protections do not come in ... when the wound heals I will try with these protections and I'll let you know. Now I still can not stand up on my right skate, it's too bad. even with double bandage with the gauze. Buying comfortable shoes spending more and then not being able to use it, it is very frustrating .. I hope everything ends well... Bye

DragonFly, maybe using the same extra sole in both boots would fix your problem, but don't try skating before your feet is 100% healed. Buying expensive skates is scary. I really wanted switch to triskates but I'm afraid all the Powerlides would do the same thing to my feet. I hope you have a different issue than me, becasue I don't think Poweslides are gonna work for me. Fortunately my local store rents Swells and Imperial Megacruisers, so if you'd be kind enough to let me know if Footie helped you I'd try it too. Good luck. P.S. your mixing bladders with blisters :)

sieram Certainly, I will wait for the wound to disappear completely, otherwise the test is flawed. It will take some time because the wound is deeply. Actually, I hope to solve this with the ankle protector, without adding the sole, because the sole I added has too much weight to move. the original sole is better for posture and weight distribution, so if the foot needs to move a little, at least I do not hurt myself with the ankle's protection and the different sock. But I still have to try, for now only theory 😁. In your local store you see many skates swell, maybe you can solve one my doubt: the original laces are very short at all swells or just mys? all tight stretches very little to close maybe 10 cm. My fellow Xsjado skaters probably felt a little puzzled just now. For me, I just have the troubles of breaking in new shoes. I have to put large bandages on my ankles for a couple weeks when wearing new shoes until they stop cutting into my ankles (unless they're hightops, which I don't wear). New shoes in Xsjados can be the most painful experience if I don't prep my ankles/feet properly.
