Such a useful video for a beginner rider like myself who just got my E20. More of these "How to's" would be great for new users. Thanks.

Great video. As usual. What struck me was IM continues with double layer plastic shells. I guess it works with cosmetics and durability but makes disassembly twice as complicated.

this is a design choice in order to reduce costs. The goal is to have this device be under $500 USD I believe. At this price point, it’ll welcome a lot of new riders since it’s not too much of a financial investment

Big fan of entry level EUC, this Inmotion E20 wheel is possibly a super candidate for breaking the much complained about steep lerning-curve for getting into the hobby/sport 🤞

It’s easy to put air in the tyres too. Nice. I tried one at the Shanghai expo. It definitely has a place and, as you rightly point out, as a beginners wheel. I think this may do more for bringing new riders to the community than any other wheel! Great teardown and insightful commentary. Thanks a lot!😊

{ tl;dr … comment for the algorithm} I love the attention that entry-level wheels are getting from the EUC company’s budgets. Entry-level wheels should almost be subsidized (as a strategic plan) to accelerate new rider conversion. There’s just one design feature that I’m disappointed not to see on the E20. The design of the rim/shell interface should be sized so that when the new rider masters the dual wheel configuration, they could easily fit a single wider/taller wheel across the full width of the rim, thereby improving and extending the value proposition further. There are several different design options but the cheapest wouldn’t cost anything, except for shell redesign issues. Interesting (probably to me only) but I have thought about several advanced design approaches for dual-wheels on independent suspension (if cost were no object) and it’s got tons of future potential once EUC sales exceed motorcycle sales (guessing: 10-15 years timeframe) {I still can’t find inner tubes for the original dual-wheel design… (I’ve got 2 of those) but it’s very frustrating that it used what appears to be proprietary inner tubes that are now unavailable.} Version 2 of this E20 model might want to slightly modify the two inner rim beads to be symmetrical in profile. This simple change would allow the user to add a higher pressure tube centered on the rim, while a larger low-pressure tire envelopes the entire span of the rim. This configuration allows very low pressure riding, which is extremely useful for both new and experienced riders. New riders can transition to a mono-wheel more comfortably with less chance of rim damage. And, experienced riders can ride sand/mud and snow more safely. MX riders use lower tire pressures with higher pressure rim-liner tubes. If anyone’s interested, here’s how to MX people do it: Tubliss.com

Upvoted for informing me about tubliss, but otherwise I think you're way overthinking this. It's meant to be a cheap af option for absolute beginners and learners. It's not powerful. There's no way more than 1% of buyers would be interested in upgrading the wheel instead of buying a proper wheel. This thing is $500. Just buy it, learn on it, and sell it.
@grb19694 ай бұрын
@@Corn8Bit i completely agree that I’m overthinking it but let me know if you go ‘tubliss’. I believe that the smallest size they produce for MX is 20”. Good luck

Dissapointed by the clip on plastic shell design like the old V5/8/10. You would think they could modernize the design a bit for a 2024 wheel. I absolutely hated taking apart the v5/8/10 series. The market needs a refresh of their old beginner friendly wheel lineup badly, but with the design philosophy of the newer wheels such as the mten4, s16 or falcon. Being a super beginner friendly kids wheel forgives this design a little though
@Corn8Bit5 ай бұрын
Yeah this is a toy learner wheel. A falcon/s16 are serious small wheels, with 3 or 4 times the pricetag.
@2cells1pack5 ай бұрын
Yes, and bringing the price point down was a main design consideration. < $500 retail

How would you change the other wheel on the opposing side? flip it over and remover the other side of the housing? Also, I wonder how the transition from this E20 to a proper EUC would be.
