Interesting Glad I found this vid. Good to see it mad it up the stall Hill , short but wheel does have good torque for shorter periods. I am still thinking of getting GW MSP Cheers

Hey Marty, love the videos! I’ve been in the market for a wheel for some time now. I’m looking for a good go to daily commuter but something that can also handle hills in Seattle and weekend rides in parks similar to what your doing. Any recommendations?

The ACM (and ACM2 specifically) is my favorite all-around wheel, having power and great range. Visit the forum for more insights - forum.electricunicycle.org

I have the same feeling about the peddles. Kind of feel like they are bent downwards. I think we are just used to the other pedals where there is a more upwards V going on where as the IM is more horizontal.

Good point. I think if they had just a little more dihedral angle that would help with the grip. I'd still rather have grip tape than the rubber.

That's something we both agree on. First time! LMAO

Try an app called ‘darkness bot’ on iTunes. Works on my V8. Might get the temp reading. Also I heard the V8 app works for some things. The V8 app has a peddle tilt function.

gliderrider Thanks. I don't use Apple phones, and I no longer have the wheel (it broke)
@LeoK-6 жыл бұрын
how did it break?

The wheel would no longer turn on. Inmotion has the wheel and is investigating

Why not to use the official inmotion app? Both iOS and Android have it.

Sooo V10F or the Tesla?

V10F for mountains, Tesla for the street.

@@ElectricUnicycles Went with v10f as my first wheel, and after owning it for ~3 weeks, 2 of daily 5 km ride to work I must agree that riding it on trail feels better than street and way better for me than most pavements. Still, I use it daily mostly on street and it's best spent money ever.

What was the outside air temperature? Based on what I see, it could be -5C to 30C. California is a huge state and any of these temperatures are possible. You love its hill climbing in this video, but your friend has at least 5 overheats in another video... Why would this be? Let's try to be somewhat scientific, otherwise, what's the point?
@ElectricUnicycles6 жыл бұрын
I think I say the temperature in one of the 5-videos. Sorry, I don't remember exactly, but about 25 I think. Considering that this is a hobby and we can't test in a lab, it's rather hard to be scientific. Yet I still think there's value. If you watch Part 3 of the series you will see that the wheel does overheat on me. My friend weighs about 30-pounds more than me which has a real effect. He was also riding in very hot conditions. Part 3 shows the V10F going up a test hill that I use on all wheels that I test. Only two wheels have climbed this hill without overheating: the Gotway MCM5 and MSX (both of those wheels use the same, upgraded, electronics from Gotway).

ElectricUnicycles awesome. Thanks for adding some data and for the reply! As a Canadian, I weigh less than the average American, so I think this wheel is still in the running for me. Hah. And I won’t be torturing it quite this much... just wanted to help confirm for myself that this wheel still might make sense for me.

@@Steve-tf1wv The V10F is a very nice wheel. Unless you're driving up "steep" hills for an extended period, I don't think you'll have overheating issues. My only real caveat when recommending the V10F is the limited top end speed and the speed throttling that kicks in as the battery level decreases. The throttling is more aggressive than the current crop of KingSong wheels. Realistically, it's a ~22-mph wheel and then only until you get to ~70-percent battery. It's not a beginner wheel (like the V8) and it's not a high-performance wheel (KS18, Gotway, etc). It's a solid intermediate wheel.

ElectricUnicycles hmmm. I’m torn between this and the KingSong 16S. I feel like KingSong will announce a new 16” wheel as soon as I decide, though, hah.
@ElectricUnicycles6 жыл бұрын
@@Steve-tf1wv The 'only' advantage that the KS16S has over the V10F is a much better trolley handle. I would certainly buy the V10F over the KS16S. KingSong has much longer release cycles. My gut tells me that we won't see a new 16-inch wheel from KingSong until next summer, if then. I've heard of zero rumors. The V10F feels like a bigger wheel (tall shell and wide tire) than the KS16S. You may want to consider the KS18L(X) instead. The KS18L is a very nice wheel.
