I know this a year ago, but what helped me alot was power pads. I am still learning. The first two days without pads and holding the rail I could barely go 5 feet unassisted. I put power pads on and rode about 100 yards before jumping off. Power Pads are definitely a must riders, especially if learning to ride

It’s hard to learn, appreciate you showing how it really is to learn

I've never been on an euc, but I'm really wanting to try. I was thinking this would be a well rounded starter wheel for me. I'm glad you brought up the fact that it's not as easy as all these pro riders make it look. I bet a lot of people go out and buy these thinking they're going to be pro within minutes.

Just start out slow for the first 3 months so you can get a feel how the wheel handles. It's easy to get overconfident and crash

You nailed it on the first day. That's not bad for first day! Don't bend your knees when mounting. Stand straight up - flat as a plank and make sure your feet are pushed forward enough that it's not veering left or right when you mount it. Foot position is critical because if you get that part wrong - everything is exponentially harder. Bending your knees when starting out shifts your weight fore or aft of the center of gravity and precludes your ability to shift all your mass as one unit rather than just your upper torso. For turning - yeah look where you want to turn, but don't forget to turn your shoulders. Max speed is 34mph with all the safeties turned off (not recommended as you can cut out). I set mine to 32mph. For the rest - doing drills early on will accelerate the pace at which you learn....figure 8s, circles, wide and small, ovals., mounting/dismounting...once you can reliably do figure 8s, you're past the hardest part. Be wary of speed wobbles early on especially if you have the tire pressure too high. Unfortunately those won't go away until you get your miles under your belt - I'm almost 800 miles in and the "clicked in feeling" didn't kick in until well after 500 miles. Good luck!

I'm getting the hang of it now. I am much more comfortable on the unit. I did fall off at about 25 mph 2 weeks ago and dislocated my shoulder and some road rash. I'll get it out for another video soon. I'm starting to recover.

Nice review. I like that you promote safety. I personally don't like how they implemented the suspension. The enclosure breaks into pieces when you crash and the whole frame flexes because they suspended it only on one side. Seeing how slowly they develop these suspension systems, the good ones will be appearing two generations in the future. To me the best design would be Gotway Nikola + with suspension. Just a very tight, compact design that can survive a tumble without a crack.

Do you think it would be easier for someone who knows how to ride a regular unicycle?

It just takes some practice but I would just take it slow

I have it down now somewhat. I don't like having to get on and off which is ofton when your riding in the city. I'll make another video soon with this. I already fell off it also and dislocated my shoulder , sore foot and road rash. So recovering from that too.

Lol you got an absolutely crazy wheel to start on so wonder you don't like it. Get a comfy V11 or S18 and you'll be much happier.

Yeah takes some practice but once you can ride , it's just like getting on and off a bike.
