Z10 is a wheel with character, not a relaxing experience, more of an aggressive riding style and that is what makes this wheel unique and so much fun to ride. Center of weight is very low which is great for certain types of trick riding but also very prone to wobbles due to the thick wheel.
@MADpack3 жыл бұрын
When you get used to it and you accept the wobbles and you ignore them you can do whatever you want with the wheel

@@MADpack Agree 100% Need to get back on every now and then on my Z10 to feel the sensations only this euc brings to the table, must admit that a Z10s unpredictability is exciting but sometimes dangerous when you push it over the edge and also disrespect the beast.

I always push to the limit and always felt in control but is a wheel that kills your knees
@wheelman69643 жыл бұрын
@@MADpack Let me explain, by pushing the limit I'm talking about finding the over lean limit of a wheel without cutting out, necessary to know your safe cruising speed, first with the stock configuration but eventually after applying the famous EN76 hack which allowed squeezing out, especially for lighter riders, speeds of around 60kmh before having to recover from over-leans. Dealing with bumps and urban transit surprises could get edgy when one is spoiled with the stability of current high speed benchmark eucs.

Recently bought yet another z10 while it still avalible. Best wheel on the market still. Even out of the box. With cutted shell to accommodate common 130/60-13 scooter summer/winter tires and 84v 1800wh battery, modded 60kph firmware, FDB0260N1007L fets, improved leds/reflectors and hexpads it is the ultimate machine.
@MADpack3 жыл бұрын
The z10 is a cool wheel and for the price is hard to argue the issue is that it is discontinued wheel so is harder and harder to find something. And now the z10 is 84v?!
@remion40193 жыл бұрын
@@MADpack There is a custom firmware from MRN76, with speed limit raised to 60kph. But it wont increase the maximum power output. So safety wise it is advised to raise the voltage a bit, stock controller could handle 84v just fine. Battery swap could be done with "xiaoxiang" bms and arduino protocol converter from Palachzzz.

The first self balancing electric unicycle was the Focus Designs SBU that was made commercially available in 2008. It is a self balancing version of a much more traditional sit down unicycle. I remember seeing Adam Savage from myth busters ride one in 2009.

Solowheel was the first stand up euc like we think of today. They have a patent from 2010. But it was invented about a year before that.

I've had the z10 for about three years and I got to say it's a great writing experience and totally relevant in 2023 one thing I love about it is leaning your whole body when you make a wide tern it's a really great wheel but LOL I agree the trolley handle sucks

Hello Madpack, I have been seriously considering an EUC since I purchased my daughters Ninebot S Hoverboard. I was looking into the Z10 since the quality of her Ninebot is excellent and learned as you stated that they stopped making the Z10. I was very much planning on purchasing it as my first EUC. After a lot of research and looking at various aspects of EUCs, I have decided on InMotion's V11 or V12 and can't decide which will be a better choice for a first EUC. My riding will be for fun evening and weekend rides. I plan on riding mainly on a paved Nature trail and through the city streets. I do have quite of few hiking and natural nature trails that I plan to ride on also. With my riding style in mind, would you suggest one over the other? Please share your thoughts and provide any suggestions you may have! Love the videos and content! Keep up the great reviews and work...Thanks!

z10 is great on pave but offroad and on trails quite dangerous because of tire width (wants to traintrack ruts and can pull you where the terrain wants). Also low torque/acceleration because of low voltage (52V) so not high performance like most new wheels. 4inch tire also creates some heavy gyro effect and requires lots of effort to turn at speed (full body) but it is still the meanest/best looking wheel out there and has great waterproofing and range!

Range I don’t agree but the rest yes I still have it but I don’t ride it anymore

@matthewearl98243 жыл бұрын
@@MADpack yes. After talking to Inmotion I found that the current unit is going to be the exact same in performance as the future released HS version. The wider wheel base and increase in power will only apply to the HT. If it passes the MOS test it is good to go. Unlike the EX.N, I am not getting the HT version as the small wheel makes it torque’y enough for me. 35 percent grade climb is enough. Also I want the speed to keep up with the Shermans in the group rides.

No experience riding Z10 ou V12. I believe 3 years of EUC turned into an awesome evolution and I’m expecting it will continue so. The downfall will be the prices and the weights. A EUC that weighs 40+ kg and costs at the very least 3000€ has no logic. Some 125cc scooters cost less, have more autonomy, etc. Besides, 40+ kg to transport with almost only one hand… V12 looks amazing to be honest, one of the coolest looking wheels out there right now. Nice little coverage you did here, bro. Big hug.
@MADpack3 жыл бұрын
I get you but even if they are heavier a euc is compact and deliver other sensations that a scooter can give you bro.. And weight brings stability and safety

To be honest I'm holding out for the KS20 but if the reviews are negative which I dont think they will be, I will get the V12 although for me I would like a 20" wheel. But V13 and V14 one of them will be a 20" with a range similar to commander... game over

I am not interested at all in Z10. But i really like another "old" wheel. KS 16X is more than 2 years old but it is still amazing wheel. Compare to V12 range is similar, torque is higher, much lighter wheel, better handle, automatic lights.... Also 16X is significantly cheaper. Seems to me still like better "commuter" than V12...
@MADpack3 жыл бұрын
Definitely I have to completely disagree with you. The trolley handle after a while starts to have contact problems. Also the mud goes easly to the bottom of the motherboard so you need to constantly check that hole to clean otherwise your motherboard will get hotter. Inner shell seems to be better but mine broke just riding. Torque is you try to accelerate aggressively you will have a cutoff (almost happen to me one time that I came back to it a bit after months without using it and used to ride the gotway MSP). About automatic lights the v12 have automatic lights also... But the 16x have the sensor in front so if you send light to the front sometimes the light stop working because it thinks that is not necessary to be on.. So sorry the 16x is just cheaper and lighter... Ah waterproofing is just a joke the 16x.. The worst i try... After few miles i had no speakers a lot of dust on the inside. I like the riding of the 16x and also have a great battery management but that's it. Will never buy again a 16x now no way

Lol for me the 16x is the Gotway wheel of kingsong. Nice, zippy and powerful, but bad quality compared to the 18xl or the s18 .
