Great instruction as always Steve. My game has really improved since I have discovered your videos.

Excellent instructions once again Steve, and perfect timing for me. Your lessons to improve one's golf is exceptional. Last week at our weekly game, I had my best outing and hit 14 fairways (best was 13), but felt that my next area of improvement was my pivot and left arm movement. Don't think I'm getting far enough around at impact (figure 7 that you talked about). Making improvements consistently with practice. Definitely know I need more practice. Still working on my back yard golf gym with practice equipment. Making headway with your videos. Thanks so much. A totally satisfied subscriber. Dillard

14 fairways! Wow you could teach Phil M. a thing or two!

BTW, Forgot to mention that your POLE drill is very, very good. Didn't realize how important it is in the swing until I've practiced and used it. Thanks again from a satisfied subscriber Dillard

Wow that’s me in a nut shell!! Need to rehearse that hit to second base!

Wow! Watched this video and luckily I have a whip, a net and a simulator. Tried it immediately. My 7 iron normally caries 135 yrds... I tried the drill and then off to my simulator carried my 7 iron 155-160 consistently. #gamechanger. The feel that really did it for me was to feel that my shoulder was reprensible for bringing my left arm over the ball.

Tremendous. When I’m swinging my best, at impact it feels like I’m looking out of an upstairs window down the street to my left with my hips at right angles to the road facing forward and my arms still behind me in the bedroom

Hi Steve, how does this relate to "you cannot uncock the wrists early enough as long as you turn"? It looks like this drill promotes a late release of the right hand with what seems like holding? All the best.
@Inmotion703 жыл бұрын
Because there are so many golfers who throw from the top absent a turn or pivot. These drills work very well for them - remember this teaches an exaggerated FEEL - but the REAL is exactly what I've been saying.

@@Inmotion70 thanks for the reply. I have not been turning enough, but I think my wrist cocking/uncocking is fine. Your videos have helped me recently. I play off 7 but was lacking the consistency to keep improving. Hopefully, I will get better with your teachings. All the best.

I’ve been studying the Austin swing for a while now. My question concerning the irons is that we want some forward shaft lean to compress the ball, but our right shoulder is lower at address and on the downswing due to the compound hip action. Are these actions opposing each other?
@Inmotion702 жыл бұрын
Not if you have enough chest turn through impact.
@irish53593 жыл бұрын
Just tried it, boy was I guilty of not cocking my wrist enough.

Which way is your diamond oriented? You are saying hitting the ball in the direction behind you but also towards second base?
@luisjuarez12003 жыл бұрын
The way that I am understanding what you are saying is that 2nd base is behind your back at address. So you are facing home plate umpire at address?

Some seriously exaggerated feet movement in that swing 😳
@geemac9793 жыл бұрын
I agree. Steve stepped his left foot out and away from the target line and on another swing, he stepped closer to his right foot and appeared to narrow the stance considerably. Not a criticsm, just an observation and wondering why?
