This is great advise. I used to be a slicer but now I hook the ball too much and still don't get around the corner like you describe in this video. Maybe you could make a video on how to finish the turn. Thanks

Love videos like this. Really got my wheels turning as to how much of this is contributing to my issues.

I've heard that left hand path as the 'J-hook' and its accurate. Great video here.

Steve, this is a powerful concept and powerfully visualized with your video. Big light bulb for me as you illustrate the connection to an overly vertical setup or early extension preventing any hope of a more horizontal hand path. Brilliant

That was a good one sir

Great video. Can you do a video to blend this and the wrap around? They seem to be one or the other but not together
@Inmotion702 ай бұрын
Yes I can.

Hi Steve, I would love to know more about what the hands are doing at the right hip pocket on the way down and how do I get my hands left? Is it an arm movement or a rotation and the arms come along for the ride? How do I contact you for lessons?

Great video! Very helpful! The only thing that’s confusing is the pronounced over the top move that Snead, Jones, Lietske, and others had. I guess their pool noodle was way horizontal going back and a little less horizontal coming in.
@Inmotion702 ай бұрын
This is a good comment. Those greats were all under the plane going back and then right on it coming down. So still had lots of hand path curve.
@Inmotion702 ай бұрын
Now Lietzke proves my point. Huge OTT pull slicer and a big strong guy who could afford to lose 20 yards. Much less horizontal curve to his hand path.

Very interesting. How does the horizontal hand path correspond with the pendulum swing of Mike Austin?
@rachaelsmith45412 ай бұрын
Tilted pendulum

Steve, I definitley relate to the 2nd example, good inside move at the start but then run too linear through the ball resulting in pushes or duck hooks. What is a drill to get that curve in the 2nd part of the swing?

Have you ever seen my chair and exit left drill?

Steve, when doing a lower plane swing, I seem get less backswing rotation vs more vertical plane. My clubhead speed has gone from 110 to 95. How do you get more backswing rotation at a 45 degree plane?

My problem with bowing more through the impact zone is that I can't get up and into a good finish thereafter anymore. Any advise?
@Roy-kg9vp2 ай бұрын
You showed outward most point of hand path being at right thigh with your knees still parallel to target. Should that be with hips slightly open?

Another good visual.. really tried to find that proper swing path. Hi there Steve. Long time viewer of this channel. I really enjoy so much of what you shared. You said we could share a swing video. So here’s my driver and 8 iron. Lots of work on the driver required but would love to know what to focus on. This swing is fairly typical to what I would do on the course. @lnmotion70 wondering if there are any thoughts or comments on this. Thank you again for all the content on you tube. Big fan.

I like your stuff but not this one. Way too long on the noodle. Could have made your point in 1/10 th the time. Spend more time in slowmo showing your hands with a club and how to get them following the right noodle path including release which you normally demo so well.
