Dal - Sugar Sweet
Ingredients
1. Moongdal (Greengram Dal) - 1 cup
2. Sugar - 1 to 1 ¼ cup
3. Grated coconut - 1 to 1 ¼ cup
4. Ghee - ¼ to ½ cup
5. Nuts - 20 to 25
6. Kismis / Raisins - 20 to 25
7. Cardamom powder - ½ tsp
Preparation
1. Dry roast the dal till its raw smell goes.
2. Boil well with enough water, add sugar when water almost escapes, cook stirring, followed by adding coconut & sautéing well.
3. Add half the ghee & stir 3 to 4 minutes to sauté, set aside.
4. Add ghee fried nuts & kismis & ghee, sprinkle the cardamom powder. Stir & serve hot or cold.
