Thank You much for the side by side, I truly appreciate this...Although I LOVE the mass market having a slightly larger art image ....I tend to like the ART to dominate the surface space of the card with LESS words that take up surface area...but......BUT those EXTRA CARDS in the Indie version are truly amazing and stunning ....AND that card with the 2 foxes back to back with the Cosmic Nebula background in the Indie Deck has won my heart, I am soooo in Love with that card.....soooo the Indie version is the winner....Those extra cards are deep....On a side note I love the Moon Dust Tarot as well...I have a weakness for that Cosmic Soft aesthetic....Thank You again...I appreciate this....Blessed Be 💜🌠💜

How does that even work?? I mean, are publishers allowd to change up someone's work?? Or is it with consent of the artist/author?? I was aware of the word 'indie' when it comes to card decks. But this is the first time i see 2 decks next to each other.

My guess is that they work with the original creator and make suggestions on what needs to be changed with their consent…

Some indie decks get picked up by publishing companies!! When that happens it's fairly common for changes to be made to the mass market versions of those decks and yes the creators work alongside the publisher! They both figure out what changes would be best and the majority of the time this is to help the production of the deck so that the final product can be marketed at affordable and accessible prices. Another reason why creators would agree to publishers picking up their decks is so they can get them out into the world without having the cost of their decks come out of their own pocket since indie creators fund their decks themselves. And an example of production differences is that some indie decks, like this one, can even be given the opportunity to write a guidebook for it if one wasn't already included.
