I'm on door bottoms right now...reviewing these old door skin videos & now I remember why I bought that door skin hammer & dolly set...didn't even know that was a thing until I saw this video several years ago & went straight to Harbor Freight & got the Maddox brand kit...excellent quality hammer, so I went back & got the general purpose body hammer & dolly kit to go with it, & I'm glad I did, because I have everything I need to do this job now...still fitting my outer panel right now, but soon as I get some rust converter, I'll be doing the inside panel...hopefully in the next day or so...best restoration channel on KZbin! Thanks for all the info & inspiration! 🖖🏿😎👍🏿

Thanks again for sharing some of the best videos on the internet.

I just discovered a undercoating product called Chassis Saver. It's like liquid paintable hot powder coating without the heating process. I call it liquid steel. The stuff basically encapsulates the metal or rust with a hard shell. You can brush or spray it on. Comes in glossy or flat black. I've been using it on the inside pieces of the rocker panel and doors. I'm restoring a 61 Chevy Apache. Trying to keep it all original.

Really good informative videos, Thank you. Can you tell me why you hammer on your tack welds? What benefit does it have. Keep up the good work
@Gibson63.7 жыл бұрын
When you weld a spot weld it tends to shrink or tighten the gap back up in the metal so I hammer/dolly if flat to bring it back
