My inner flame is telling me to paint after watching this! I just won a set of MyArtSpace paints from dear Tammy! Can't wait to try them. I'm working on a rainbow pour for my open and affirming church here in Michigan. We are growing like crazy, 50/50 gay and straight. We're all about inclusiveness and justice, and the environment. In January we were shown plans for expansion, (not mega style) but enough for our groups to meet without scheduling conflicts. I figure I have a good year and a half to perfect one, lol! Wish me luck! PS Have a tube of the Liquitex Dixoxasine purple! You are such a bright spirit, as bright as your canvasses.

It doesn't sound like a chicken. Sounds like a cat. I thank you over and over for the way you figure approximate amount of paint! I taught remedial math for junior high and high school. They always said... "When are we Going to use this?" Soooo ! I set up scenarios like this. Well, I did carpentry,, landscaping, ordering amounts of products or materials. It turned on the lights! Your formula did it for me! I retired years ago! This is one of my favs that you have done! So nice to have a wonderful camera man! It looked like a heart to me. Anatomical like :)

Happy Easter! Great rainbow 🌈 powerful ! Okay if you must leave green out Gold will definitely work ! That green blue is great and for purple diox is perfect! I thought indigo was more like a denim color...don't know. I was telepathing. Go backwards on rainbow! What is that cat like crying? That's no chicken! Or do you have a good therapist? Seriously, this is beautiful. I have learned to take that deep cleansing breath and focus! Thanks AGAIN for your formula for amounts of paint! Stay well...Stay safe...Stay home...Stay sain!.....pour paints!! I'm working on my "Tubo" !

Hi Chrissy! Our neighbors have 5 chickens lol we traded some oranges for fresh eggs 😊 my girls thought it was so interesting that the shells were a blue-green color lol they borrowed my scale and had a great time weighing the fresh eggs then the supermarket eggs we had lol (the fresh ones were heavier lol). HoA talks about getting chickens because he loves eggs. We actually do have a chicken coop here but it would need a lot of renovations to make it coyote-proof. After this quarantine I think we may do it.. 🐣🐥🐤🐔 no roosters tho!! 😁

I loved this! I watched it the first time on my cell phone, and since the sound was off so the baby wouldn't wake up, I had captions on. Purple liker turned into "purple licker", and I was SO confused... I had this picture in my head of people licking colors! I'm very glad you didn't actually say "purple licker"!

Spatula is wonderful. Isn't that the same as an "Afro" comb?I agree silicone beakers were aweful. I would have a hard time holding them. I have active RA in my hands. It is easier to hold something Stiffer.

What does the satin enamels do in your pours since they are not cloud pours? I’ve never used them and I’m just curious. Are they reacting the same as the other paints?
@scubakat48704 жыл бұрын
Hi Mina. Loving the comb wrecks. I did one the other day with my grandbabies that turned out really cool. Unfortunately it got ruined when the wind blew up the plastic I had underneath on to the painting:(. Question: You mention in most you use Liquitex Gloss Medium and Varnish. Is that one product or two seperate? Thanks for all the inspiration.
@MinaVillegasArt4 жыл бұрын
Hi Scubacat! I'm so glad it worked well with your grandbabies!! I have had the wind blow plastic onto my canvas before, thats why I have all those little stone statues all over my table lol 😆 The Gloss Medium & Varnish is one product, in one bottle. Its their regular pouring medium with Varnish added to it (by them, not me lol) www.amazon.com/dp/B001UNTH2S/ref=cm_sw_r_fm_apa_i_VNxqEb6V22CXE Take care and have fun!!! Much love to you

where does the 28 come from in your paint calculation?
@MinaVillegasArt4 жыл бұрын
Hi Megan! I was told that there are 28 grams in one ounce, so that gives you how many ounces of paint you need. My Husband of Awesomeness disagrees, vehemently! He says that the 28 is because one ounce covers 28 square inches of canvas. He looked it up and double checked it a few times lol.. whatever the case, divide by 28. 😉
@Meganchannel154 жыл бұрын
@@MinaVillegasArt Ok thank you! I suck at math lol so I was just wondering haha
@arnoldmelton27554 жыл бұрын
When calculating for amt of paint needed make sure you account for the sides on a gallery wrapped canvas. For that canvas 108 x 1.5 = 162! And another 6 oz.s of paint! Just saying.

Hi, MIna...meeeee... yeah that's right me..you know..lol... anyway don't take this wrong (or the rest of Mina's fans reading this.) There no 'wrecks' in art. i've not liked that term since someone started using that a month ago . Art is variations on techniques or no one would like Picasso (i don't like his work opps.. ) anyway. You are just the Best at pouring circles , wandering pours. I love what I call the 'tassels" & '... i hope I get this typed b4 i lose it ... i wanted say this to you a month ago.. in a positive way... that's waht this is... not correcting typos or i won't finish. (ahhhggg). no thing as ''wrecking ' potential alternative tecnique art. I cringe whenever you imply wrecking... it's just an enhancement tecnique... something different exciting change... upbeat. :-))))). except for today. I finally had to tell you... today the circle pour with the marbleized technique aded was stunning !!! Yes... i wanted you to STOP! oh, the marblinzing was beautiful and added more beauty to that beautiful RAINBOW circle .... i loved that and wanted u to stop look and say... " wait... i like it just as it is" and then... add an additional circles or wandering pours around it and not move any of it. I realized you did have to take some paint off. Maybe u might try what i've suggested next time u have a stunning marblelized circle?? This is the best positive spin on your Rainbow circle or to you. You are still my guru :-). I typed alot ... hope it all gets to you... or i might have to email you...hehehehehe.... i sure you want an extensive email from me. But i keep trying to make your circle and feathers pours. i wish you already had a 1000 videos. you are comfort in some bad times and inspiration in good. i always want to go do a painting when you.... dah almost done... cant lose message...lool... loooonoooo ..hahahhaha. ok.. i should be done ... 1 reaason or another LOLLOLOLOLL.. Katie McGee
