If I close my eyes, I wouldn't be able to set it apart from Petrucci's solo on the "Awake" record. Jack is such an accomplished, all-rounded and mature guitar player. Amazing!

It sounds like the real guitar track has been taken out because you can never hear it. But I know it isn't and he just has the perfect tone and playing to match it at every point. Incredible. I can't believe Andy McKee (crazy acoustic player) does this solo too.

@OliverTolman It looks like: guitar-BOSS JS-8-computer and some basic recording software. No mics, cabs, interfaces etc. The JS8 goes right into the computer (I'm thinking through the red and white wires on the right)
