I'm so glad I played Ys Seven and get to hear this song for the first time back in the day.

Indeed... imaging a live concert with Teramae going crazy with Monstrum Spectrum and Okajima destroying the drums with Wild Card, we live in the worst timeline :(

hol up what happened?

@@launcherx2044 What happened is that in 2015, the chairman of Falcom's board of directors, Masayuki Kato, got paranoid and thought Chara-Ani (the company that helped organise these shows) were trying to profit off of the jdk band, so he sabotaged a performance of theirs. The result is that Chara-Ani and the majority of jdk band members (except for Mizutani) cut ties with Falcom. Yukihiro Jindo, who managed the band at the time, also stepped down and only does work for Falcom as a freelancer now. The current jdk band is badly coordinated, less experienced and plays way smaller venues now.

@@RManLovesGiantRobots holy shit that's petty of the chairman I guess that's why ys 9 music just doesn't hit the same

@@launcherx2044 Well, that's on Falcom for being greedy and relying on cheap outsourcing. But yes, both the recent decline in Falcom music and the crappy new jdk band are symptoms of the same root problem.
