I grew up a Led Zepplin fan. If you read the book "Hammer of the Gods," The prolougue basically talks about the legend of Led Zepplin selling their soul to the devil, and the only person to not sign "the contract" with John Paul Jones. It then talks about how uncomfortable Robert Plant became of the themes of their songs as well as Jimmy Page's fascination with famous satanist Aleister Crowley. There was a 2-3 year period where much tradegedy fell on Robert Plant (his young son died, he was in a car accident, had marital problems with his wife). He actually refused to continue to sing "The Ocean" and "In my time of dying" because he felt it was "tempting fate." That band produced some of the best music in history, but they were definitely playing with fire. Now that i'm older, I stopped listening to them (and others), not because I'm afraid of playing it backwards at midnight and releasing a demon, but I don't want my subconcsious brain listening to words that don't produce fruit. It's the same with AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" and actually 90% of popular American music.

Great channel, I just found it today. I was around 12 when My Sweet Lord came out. My much older brother, who worshipped the Beatles, asked me if I liked the song. Even though it had a good melody I told him I thought it felt evil. He got upset and said, "That's because you're evil!" Even though I couldn't fathom the lyrics towards the end, my spirit picked up on the evil vibe. I may have been young but I was open to the Holy Spirit. Edit for punctuation 🙂

@@adaylateandadollarshort2971 He didn't mentioned Michael W. Smith however it's true that some people label their music as Christian music and it lacks of a biblical base, it's simple repeating basic words and with the new movement of worship where they want to create and experience to make you feel good and leaving behind the true meaning of worship which is give the glory to God. If you read some lyrics from Elevation Worship, Bethel, Maverick and so on and on you will realize that they have change and it's not the same essence from the beginning it's more for the likes and views and they started Removing the name of God, Jesus or Lord and sound more like a love song. To me, it was sad to see how from king and country doesn't sound the same and they were more interested on hitting the charts with songs that sounds positive, but leaving a bit behind the glory God which is something that we are call to do, in everything that we do give glory to him. So, I agree even if something or someone claim to be Christian we have to read the lyrics first and test it because if we are about to be singing those songs we have to remember that we have power with our words as well.🤗

As someone who's currently a DJ and grew up listening to Christian and secular music, I can tell you, a lot of the artists in the Christian world I'd listen to growing up are now doing really messed up things. Artists like Hillsong, Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton (this one hurt when I saw what he's been up to lately), Maverick City, Tasha Cobbs Leonard (super compromised). In the Christian Latin world, Jesus Adrian Romero has been a major disappointment. Lecrae became something else but won't be quick to judge. The point I'm trying to say is that we need to stop classifying songs as Christian and secular because we have no idea what those composers are channeling to make the music they make. We are not in the studio with those artists. My take is, listen to whatever you want to because finding out your favourite Christian artist is a fraud is more painful than listening to a secular song where they're at least honest about the life they're living. There is more deception in Christian music because we let our guard down when it comes to people on a pulpit for some strange reason. We should be more vigilant with those who step onto a pulpit because they're the ones who are supposed to be setting the example of what Christians should be like since they're technically in a leadership position. Dont let your guard down with our fellow Christians and also, don't put anyone on a pedestal because humans will always let you down, Yeshua will not.

Years ago, I was helping my daughter with research for a speech that she was writing for competition within a Christian homeschool speech and debate league. The topic was "Why Christians shouldn't participate in Yoga." I came across an article that was written by an academic (PhD) who happened to be a Hindu. In his article he stated that yoga (means union) is a spiritual practice designed to honor Shiva and connect to the divine presence, first and foremost; the different positions assumed have specific meaning in the practice of yoga. My daughter received push back from some of her judges that there was nothing wrong with Christians practicing yoga for exercise alone. However, what many Christians don't realize is that yoga is not merely exercise alone regardless of how it's practiced.

“Singers, when they sing songs: it’s like a mantra - when you repeat a chorus, over and over and over. So, when a kid hears a song, and he starts singing that chorus over and over and over, then you start to hear it in the alpha state into the subconscious mind. So, you start to become the song or become what you’re saying.” -- Michael Jackson

I was also a huge Led Zeppelin fan as a kid, especially Jimmy Page. He was my inspiration to learn guitar. Then i discover his involvement with the occult and living in Aleister Crowley's home. All the satanic symbolism in the music. Really disappointing, but the devil deceives us.

John Todd said that the master tapes of all pop music are sent to The Church of Satan to have spells cast over them so that demons would follow those that bought it. He said that Satan's ultimate goal is to have Rock music infiltrate the Church & it already has. Christian Contemporary music sounds like second rate Rock or R&B. Rod Parsley during one of his television appearances had his musicians playing Van Halen's "Jump" during what was supposed to be Praise & Worship. This music effects people mentally & behaviorally whether they want to believe it or not. Everyone wants to believe that the music that they listened to in their youth was somehow cleaner & innocent. It's not. Satan's biggest trick is making the masses believe he doesn't exist.
@marciajohnston56693 ай бұрын
Exactly! Satan is a deceiver! Before I truly gave my life to Jesus, I listened to all types. I listened mostly to rock and roll and some country. One day when I was standing in a chair making home made curtains, I guess I was focused on the curtains and just listening to the words of the song and Jesus showed me what I was listening to and had been singing to all these years. The song was called Sympathy for the Devil. I remember like it was yesterday, I jumped off the chair, dropped the curtains, and ran to the radio and un plugged it and I still turned it off even though i unplugged it because I didn’t want any portal to be opened. I fell on my knees and asked Jesus to be my Savior! I listened and watched they sold their souls for rock and roll and now even with June, my mind listens to the words before I can even sing to them!

How well I remember playing stairway to heaven backwards on my stereo after I listened to a cassette tape about rock songs being demonic. Yeah! Thats when I started to trash my secular hard rock albums. I agree with you about The Beatles. I noticed a big change in them when they came back from India. All of a sudden they went from 4 clean cut guys with mop tops singing Love songs and silly songs to LSD freaks! They were under the influence of a Maharishi ( I'm sure he got a lot of money from the guys.) Their music style changed...so did their clothing. I felt something weird every time I heard the sound of a sitar. I wasn't Born Again in those days. But I wanted nothing to do with drugs or hinduism. I liked most of the British songs. I couldn't stand to listen to " satanic majesty's request". It sounded dark and creepy. I guess I was shown discernment. I used to have the 'Woodstock" album. I had to skip over several songs. Amoung them any songs that had sitar music. India invaded American in the 60's. Their demonic culture is everywhere. Yoga practiced in many churches. I went to a yoga class at the Y many years ago. I felt something very creepy when we were instructed to make sounds and go into a position. I didn't stay long. I told the instructor ( a professing Christian) that I didn't feel right about doing yoga. She tried to convince me to stay. I didn't. I got out of there. Todays songs are worse. More obvious. In your face. They play that music in the stores. I was a lead singer in a Christian metal band in the 90's. I wrote warning songs like "Death Penalty" "The End" and "Dark Days". Also songs "Riches of Men" and "Deceived by Belief" These songs were in your face. I prayed with a lot of youth in those days. Still this day I minister to youth...even in Walmart. I wear hippie clothes. It opens up to a conversation. Many listen to me as I challenge them to read the Bible. Thanks guys for exposing the evil side of rock bands. Not all are bad. You just have to have discernment. "Bad Moon Rising" by C.C.R. is a warning song...also "Time" The Chambers Brothers. Blessings to you guys! Looking up!

I have been a born again Christian since 1978 and my whole life, I have wanted to know what the singers are saying in their songs, partly because half of the time I could not understand what the words were. "I Write the Songs" is one where the words are very clear and very sinister especially the "I am very old" line. I would not listen to that anymore even though the tune is pretty. So called Christian music now blasphemes the Lord by talking about His "Reckless Love", demeaning Him and bringing Him down to One Who loves us so much that He has no self control. I stay away from the old songs and the so called Christian songs. No Sirius FM on my car radio.

You could have done a whole video on the last segment. I clicked on this to see what you had to say about Barry Manilow. He was my first childhood crush, but now in old age, I find him extremely creepy. Forget the fact that he is gay, that is bad enough, but I find it far worse that he allowed himself to be marketed to preteen girls as a sex symbol, and lied about his age. He is actually a few months older than my mother, and he was being marketed to me through People, Teen Beat and Tiger Beat as a sex symbol. Even if he were straight, that would be creepy. I knew that song was written by Bruce Johnston, as I had every word of every record jacket of Barry Manilow's memorized, but I didn't realize that Bruce Johnston was a Beach Boy. That opens a whole 'nuther level of creepiness, as the Beach Boys were involved with Charles Manson and with Terry Melcher and all of them were mixed up with Anton Lavey. I don't even want to remember any of these songs. I want them gone from my mind.
