Innova Halo Polecat // Should you Bag it??

I love this disc mine is a 1991 circle stamp Pre-Thumtrac DX Birdie so it's basically the exact same disc/ flight as a polecat. If I remember correctly Innova retooled the Birdie sometime in 1992 and gave it a Thumtrac. The retooled Birdie had way less glide and a little bit more stability. I remember people getting mad and switching to Polecats instead. So basically there aren't very many pre Thumtrac birdies out there🤔 pretty much whatever was made between 1991 and 1992.

@@DaddyDelpDiscGolf I'm pretty good with the history of Innova not so much with Discraft. I didn't throw anything Discraft until 1999 Worlds in Rochester New York, it was my first time seeing the Discraft product line. Discraft had stacks after stacks setup on some tables at Chili Disc Golf Course. It was difficult to find a source of Discraft in my area it's not like there were internet / brick-and-mortar stores back then. However there was a disc golf catalog, I think it was called "Discovering the World" if I remember correctly 🤔. Of course when I saw all the Discraft I had to buy a Scott Stokely XL, the same disc he used to set a distance record in 1998 at 692 feet. I got to meet Scott and had him sign my XL, but the real reason I was there was to watch Ken Climo win worlds again, but unfortunately he ended up taking 2nd place, right behind Ron Russell 🤷. I love this sport, thank you "Steady" Ed Headrick, Dave Dunipace and Harold Duvall ✊.

Just got me a halo polecat. I have like using it for short forehand flicks.

I haven’t tried it for forehands yet because the rim shape but I could see it being good if it’s something you feel comfortable with! It definitely saved me Atleast 3 strokes this weekend at my tournament. I did putts off tee for some downhill holes and had birdie putts everytime. Crazy good for controlling those slow speed shots downhill

I originally was a forehand only thrower for my first 4 years. And I played baseball so I kinda have developed the ability to forehand putters which seems to amaze people. They say it’s tricky. Idk lol

I have to say I really didn’t want to like the disc but it has a very good shot to apply to your game. Very easy to throw

I have seen people slay with a polecat in the woods.... never have thrown one that works for me....

I’ve been exclusively using that polecat for the exact shot I threw in video and it’s been working well. Just step out low power anhyzers
