I graduated in 1975 with a BSME and had a wonderful 40 career with the DuPont Co. My father also went there, I have a ten year old daughter and I hope she goes too. I had a professor whose nick name was Flunking Freddy. He was a horrible teacher, so I never went to class, just read the book. Most of the class who attended were indeed failing. I don’t know what was wrong this guy. I read the book and just showed up for exams, which I all aced, perfect scores. So most people who were attending class and not reading the book were failing but I had perfect scores. Well the SOB accused me of cheating! I went to the dean told him the story about not attending class but reading the text book. The dean said, “I’ll take care of it.” He did and I had no more trouble with this pedagouge. I’m sure he is long gone, the other teachers were inspiring and excellent. It’s a wonderful school and you will graduate with very marketable skills.
