@@LordHawHaw100 I know several in my class who went to Lockheed & Boeing working on the Shuttle program and heavy launchers back in the day. Getting into NASA proper took a spotless academic record and knowing someone to get you noticed. I remember one guy being asked to interview with NASA, he hadn’t sent out a Resume yet but the hiring people had shown up and asked to look through student records to find who they wanted. It’s not impossible to get on with NASA but it was a high bar. At the time I got as far as an interview with the U.S. Space company who ran the ground support operations for the Shuttle program.

I graduated with my B.S. in Air Traffic Management a year early in May 2023. I am now earning my M.S. in Human Factors, and set to graduate in December 2024. Everything in this video was accurate, especially the parking issue. And I’m with you when I tell the freshman: DO NOT BRING YOUR CARS (unless you have special diets, like me).

Graduated in ‚96 from Daytona with an AE degree. With their masters program got a dual Project Management & MBA online. Never a complaint about the school , instructors, courses, or other students. For someone who wants to focus on aviation & space I can’t imagine a better school.

Class of 2011, and this is all pretty accurate. Went back to take a look in 2022, and so much of that campus has changed, I honestly feel no connection to it anymore. Can honestly say, didn't really enjoy my time at Riddle, and looking back, would have gone somewhere else. Unlike DaMuncher, my roommates were total dbags and I moved off campus to Legacy (where most people seem to move to) in my Sophomore year. And if I remember correctly, PDT were the "a-hole jocks" who acted like they were better than everyone else, and were the frequent callboys for AXD. And even with Riddle Vision in effect, the line between charming and cute, and being a creep and sexual harassment, came down entirely to if the girls thinks you're good looking enough or not, and if it's not, will file a report with campus safety, and unless you go inquire about if you have a file, will not know such a complaint was made. I still remember back in 2008/9 (I think) when they did a scrub of the servers and found one student had saved several terabytes of porn. Student Village was definitely the fun dorms, and the buffet was always good. TnG did alright for getting us movies, acts, etc, but quality definitely started to go down by my senior year. If you want to learn to fly, go up to Ormond or New Smyrna, and 100% go learn to skydive at DeLand (as a Riddle Student you get a discount, and if you join the skydiving club, you can use club gear which saves you a lot on rentals).

Great run down dude. Class of 16’. While what he says is very true even when i went. I fully believe it is all what you make of it. If flying/aerospace is your goal riddle (and many other schools) will make it happen. All my friends and now wife I met there worked for the weekends. Which is when we would have a blast. All the Fraternity friends i made im still close with this day almost all successful in their fields. We had a lot of fun there because we made the most of it. Many times i walked across campus or to a 5am flight block looking up seeing contrails wondering when id be up there, well 3 months ago i flew over in the left seat at a major airline saying, damn… i wish i could be down there for just one more day of college 😅…. Then i got a notification to make a student loan payment 😂😂 the Riddle koolaid is sweet, bitter and expensive… but then again, so is life.

If you want to be a pilot transfer, get your A&P license and do your general classes at a community college. Get your private single and multi engine VFR, Sport Gyroplane, complex, high performance, tail wheel and spin ratings along with Remote Pilot, and Advanced Instrument Ground Instructor ratings before transferring to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Once enrolled in the flight program. ****Immediately Enroll In Aircraft Dispatcher Program.***** Please. Do not graduate the ERAU flight program without Aircraft Dispatcher license.

You don't need to know how to fly at all. Most people at Riddle haven't flown at all or know anything specific to it before they start attending school here. It's just flying with another school and learning before attending Riddle will save you a chunk of money long term.

This school online is cheaper but still expensive. I have a good amount of veteran and military friends at this school and they all ended up paying for almost nothing because they finished serving in the military and their branch offered to cover it. I would find out if you could possibly get reimbursed.

Doesn’t surprise me that the Floridian professors on the Daytona Beach main campus are predators. This is also one of the few non-military campuses, I want to go to the campus in Iwakuni, which is on a military base, and will require a military base pass, a student visa, and a part-time work visa, maybe even a business visa if I’m going to study aviation business.

That's why if you want a license. Do this. Get your A&P aircraft mechanic license at a community college, transfer your credits and A&P license from Community College to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University,and get your Aircraft Dispatcher license while attending ERAU. Get the Remote Pilot and AGI/IGI. For Remote Pilot and AGI/IGI Ground Instructors you only need to pass the Remote Pilot, Fundamentals of Instruction, Advanced Ground Instructor and Instrument Ground Instructor written then do it all on IACRA.

Its decent. There are better colleges though for EP. EP is kind of one of those specific majors that can fall into multiple categories for positions you can get hired in and isn't really aviation specific either. I know most of my EP friends ended up getting their Masters because it was harder for them to find a job related to their major.

Does this review correlate with the Arizona location? I was considering this school to become a pilot but I live in California and its a far move for Florida. Also would going to this school increase my chances of being a pilot in the Airforce? Ive looked into the USAFA as a good route for the Airforce but I know it can be quite competetive especially for someone like me who doesnt have the best grades in highschool (still a Junior in highschool). Great review, definitly added to the choices of aviation paths I am trying to fit into.

It's overpriced for sure but not a sham. You will get bias from companies like Boeing or Lockheed if you are competing with canidates from other schools with the same qualifications. My advice is if you are adamant in staying in aerospace then go to Riddle. If money is a concern or you are 100% not sure about staying within the aviation industry, there are much better and cheaper schools for general finance degrees. Hope that helps, friend.

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University does not have ATP-CTP certification course and is not up to date with jet training. ERAU should do ATP-CTP training on A-320 and A-320 type rating training instead of CRJ-200 course.

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. I am stuck on the ramp loading bags for United Airlines. I already have an Aircraft Dispatcher, A&P, AGI/IGI Ground Instructor, Remote Pilot and Radiotelephone outside my commercial pilot license. This Embry Riddle Aeronautical University is an overpriced joke that could not get me off the ramp. Thank God I paid off all my student loans. Embry Riddle Aeronautical University cannot promise you a good paying profession in your field of study. In fact UPS driver now makes much more money than a doctor, lawyer, or an airline pilot. A&P aircraft mechanic and aircraft dispatcher makes more money than pilots because or outstanding student debt that has to be paid back. Embry Riddle Aeronautical University could not get me out of a dead end job.
