These players give each other so much respect. Even when it looks like a potential comeback they recognize their opponents skill and just concede the map. Also they’re intelligent to recognize the mindset to move on to something fresh instead of fighting an uphill battle mentally.

Yes, that is what they appear to do. Granting respect is a fine thing. But conceding the map without further effort is stunningly lazy imho. Not the behaviour of champions.

Terran army supply is such a funny thing because of medivacs. If both players have 100 army supply and trade down to like 40, it looks even, and then you realize that the terran has 20 medivacs and you have double the army supply of actual combat units

But medivac can heal your marines and no one build 20 medivacs.

@@KKKuma I meant 20 supply worth of medivacs, i.e. 10. Yes, they heal, but not fast enough to overcome focus fire. And often after a big engagement they will be low on energy anyways

i had a very similar game today, and i was economically so far ahead, could max in 2 minutes but i had only bio and some vikings. no chance against Colossos, stalker, zealot..

@@bastooo3 Thats feels weird to me. Collosus dont seem to hold up well alone against a bigger ball of bio, in my experience you need storm or disruptors. Specially if you had vikings.Unless you were also down in upgrades and army supply

At their level, is building a cannon near the mineral line to deter drops a waste of resources? Seems like there is no better way of crippling a protoss early, yet I rarely see cannons there.

The best players in the world know best about wisdom of building cannons. The issue is opportunity cost - 150 minerals that could be spent on mobile defense units and or more economy or production. If good players see youve wasted minerals on static defense they will just hit u from the front knowing u have less mobile units to defend.

I dunno, it seems like a lot of times Terran walks across the map with unstoppable pushes that just smash the Protoss. I’ve been seeing Terran lose matches because they fight into a super battery though, they need to stop doing that. Also, inno was running a largely marine composition into colossus/zealot.

Maru was 1st place in GSL super tournament 1 in March , follow with TY GSL tournament champion in April (they made top 4 in last run at GSL in July too but lost out) so it's not as bad as you think. But this year so far, at least in premier tournaments, usually zerg makes top 2 the most.

Inno avoided a head to head fight with the whole army in late game. I think it's a mistake to split your army so much... Bio doesn't protect the tanks or liberators to the fullest then. Great game tho!

Innovation did some mistakes I think. Despite PartinG abusing the chargelot and 4 gate blink openings he was still doing good, but he didn't tech to range libs which are critical against liberators. I wonder why he made the choice of not going for additional starport and build either vikings or libs + medivacs.

Playing against Parting is alway chaotic. Unless you have his micro and understand his crazy genius harass/positioning then you make easy work of him like TY. However, if your micro is not up to par with him or don't have an idea of where his units are or possibly be then he would turn the game into a nighmarish f**kfest with all kind of trash builds that should not work and make no damn sense, but because he's everywhere and cause so much havoc you can't keep up and lose. Blink stalkers and blink DT are horribly inefficient units, yet in the hand of Dicboi, they're imba as hell.

@@qb8572 you use stalkers to stop bio tank comps? now i know you're bullshitting, only PartinG can pull that off, and i doubt he can do it again vs Maru. with tank/bio push on my three base on my diamond league games, i out flank with charged zealous while defend with battery overcharged. No way you can stop tank bio push with stalkers. if you talk about slowing their advance, this makes sense last year, but it require at least master league level and even then you dont see that happen at the top level anymore. They pull imediately back to third base now, try to take out reinforcements and hold on to dear life on third base. No one have the balls like PartinG to throw them vs the bio/tank comp. you been watching PartinG stream too much and see him blink into the main and kill his opponent which are often 1000MMR below him. I tell you this you can't do this on ladder or at the top level at same skills, it's not easy. If your micro and unit positions are good enough with warp prism/observer for high ground visions, chances are your opponent at same level would also be good enough to place 2 tanks at the right positions to defend their base and raven or scan to get rid of your high ground vision with bunkers at the right place to crush your blink stalkers. blink stalkers is 150/50 btw with extra 200/200 spent on research with 121 seconds. this much while doing 13 damage. compare to charged zealous that cost 100, does 8x2 damage, and 100 second for charge research that cost 100/100. so yeah they're ineffecient until you're good enough to make them godlike like PartinG, but then your opponent at same skill level will also be splitting at the same skills too.

The tvp meta is broken... only chances for the terran lately are early one base all ins or similar builds.. once it goes to mid or late game, chances to win drop hard.. Look at Clem against Zest..

At least in this series, Parting won fair and square. If you keep harassing, squeezing your opponent by being aggressive, finding some nice kills, staying ahead by getting the right tech, you deserve to win, and not just fail once the passive player rolls out his counter-attack.

Cleam went for it yes, but i would agree with Wardi's observation that Clem observed Zests weakness to early pressure and pressed his advantage there in following games. Overall in late game Terrans got the mule based economy which is ultra powerful (apart from granting them very strong income it also allows to maintain few scvs, allowing the army to be bigger) and ghost upgraded emp which also is very strong.

I think balancewhise TvP is in an amazing spot but gameplay/gamedesignwhise its kinda trash 1. Its too snowbally like look at game 2 or 1 2. It is getting more and more passive due to protoss not being able to push nor terran can move out due to chargelotsas wardi even mentioned in game 1 3. The value of dts denying bases and if terran doesnt moveout how strong the defense is I think we urgently need some kinda patch for fresh wind in TvP in my eyes otherwhise it will become a super passive matchup unless someone allins.
