Innovative vs Useless Eyeliner Applicators

There are many outstanding eyeliner applicators on the market. One of my favorites is being a liquid felt tip eyeliner. They’re beginner-friendly and really convenient to use. Today, it’s all about innovative eyeliner applicators that are supposed to change the eyeliner game of application and convenience. Let’s test these out and see how innovative they are or completely useless.

I’m kinda disappointed you didn’t tried both eyes with each product because most of the time, (like for the stamp) the applicator makes it hard to get even wings. As easy are they are to draw on/use, if I can never get even wings, it’s still not a good product!

The Guide tool has been a game changer for me. I don’t have any dexterity issues and I have fine motor skills but eye liner has been beyond my skills set in life. My poor husband normally helps me and with this tool I can apply my own eye liner. I use the Guide tool to apply eye liner to my upper and lower water lines.

@Bailey Eckerson I'm glad that tool helps you. My husband has relapsing/remitting MS and I always (try to) put myself in his shoes. Milani made a big deal about the eyeliner gel being dry and crumbly. So buy another eyeliner gel!?! 😐 I thought that tool was the most innovative and helpful of the bunch. 🤷🏻‍♀️

K this girl is obviously really good with eyeliner. She made the tart one look hella easier than a newbie like myself. Im TERRIBLE with eyeliner. I’d like to see her hubby do it so we’d get a better idea how easy or innovated. Love her explanations and energy.

Thanks for showing accessible makeup ideas. I have a tremor so eyeliner is impossible. The guide eyeliner intrigues me, and I would definitely try it if it was more affordable.

I wish guide beauty had an option to just buy the tool. My grandmother bought me the guide eyeliner set for a gift in December. My conclusion is that the tool works amazing, but the actual eyeliner formula doesn't work super well.

I love the cover girl wheel liner it works so well for me my hands shake and I blink alot when putting on eyeliner but with the wheel liner its quick roll line and done comes out perfectly every time

I have the Glide device ... and a significant intention tremor. It will take a little more practice but its a LOT better than what happens if I try with just a pen.

I like that first one... resting it on your cheek is perfect ...I have multiple sclerosis and sometimes I have trouble controlling my hands.

I still use basic scotch tape after 10 years. It never fails me lol I just can not do it free hand,my carpell tunnel/arthritis is so bad. I still enjoyed the video 😊

@@assaultedpeanutt I usually use Maybelline Eyestudio Master felt tip,or any felt tip,But sometimes I just do eyeshadow and it still looks so Good! the only kind I don't use is pot/gel eyeliners, they just aren't my favorite

Kandee Johnson once taught a hack where she got a regular skinny paintbrush and bent the metal bit a little (similar to tarte) to use for eyeliner.

I haven't seen any good youtube reviews of the Covergirl wheel liner that I can remember. And I didn't know MAC had made a wheel liner first, but maybe Covergirl made a similar product for those looking for a similar dupe that is more affordable and cruelty-free.

The first one would be great for people like me who suffers with multiple immune disorders that effect joints & dexterity. The creator was very innovative designing something for people who have struggled with joints & steady hands like herself.

I have hooded eyes and normally use a super thin, tiny paint brush to put on liner, but the tarte brush is awesome. I have had mine for years and it has held up very well. I also like their liner formulae, both that one and the one in the pot. Very black and stays put. Qvc usually has some petty good tarte deals. Plus they have sales all the time.

Thanks for the video! I've been using a bent tip eyeliner brushes for years. Mine aren't as swank as the tarte brush, but my fave is from Wet N Wild, so very affordable. I think my other one is from E.L.F, and also works well, even though their brushes tend to be a bit hit or miss, in my opinion.

I've had the wheel one for over a year, you have to just not have a ton of product on the wheel, and don't press too hard to see the line. She's wrong to say it's useless, it's actually very helpful if you give it a chance

The tarte one transfers after a while. Even with setting spray. I’ve tried to love it multiple times and it transfers every time.

im not sure if anyone knew this but for stamp eyeliner you gotta drag it until it reaches where you want it to stop and not just stamping it on. and only after that you can use the normal liner brush to clean it out and make it more precise. hope this help !!

I use a L'Oreal pot (you can use any) with inglot duraline to make it more liquid and a tiny paint brush (Jamie French's idea) I love it!

That Tart brush looks like it would be really useful for me. My eyelashes always seem to get in the way of doing eyeliner and I think that bend in the brush would really help

I have the tarte eyeliner brush and I do like, but I have never used it with that strange tube liner. I actually didn't know that it was even a product that they made. I just use it with their pot gel liner and it's a good combo.

My problem is I am so nearsighted, I can't get close enough to the mirror to see with a pen or pencil. The magnification of the mirror means nothing, I'm still too far away to see. But with the Tart brush, I might be able to get closer!!

I think that the second one the wing was easy because she is used to do it but she had to do more than one stroke to do it which wouldn't make it easy for people. However it seems very useful for artsy eyeliner looks

The tarte kit was really nice and yes it did seem ‘too easy’. I want 🖤 I tried some roller liners, all messy, I didn’t like any of them. Guide wand was definitely the most innovative. Maybe try it with that nice tarte liner ;r)

Bent eyeliner brushes have been around for a while.. for so long now that they're even showing up at the $1 store....lol definitely not something Tarte has invented but maybe you've never heard of them before so I'm glad you found something new you like! Oh how i wish i had your eyes!! I could put on ANY KIND of liner work ANY kind of applicator. Your eyes are "liner perfect". You've got not one thing line or wrinkle or fold anywhere near either of your eyes and.... you can close one eye perfectly without the other eye even moving. It's no wonder how you can make applying eyeliner look so easy.

The Lancome grandiose liquid eyeliner with the bendable brush (not the felt pen one) has a similar idea as the tarte but better. YOu can bend the applicator any angle and you don’t have to deal with the squeeze tube. Also the formula is amazing. Though it’s maybe a bit expensive but it lasted me for almost a year (not that it’s recommended).

Hey! I enjoyed your video! I have been using Tarte products for almost 11 years now! They have such great products! I enjoy that little eyeliner brush so much! Tarte also has a little paste/creme pot eyeliner in several colors that would probably work well with the first big applicator. Anyway...I have been wondering about the new Glamentic craze! They have several colors available of their magnetic eyeliner pens, and a regular liquid-pen wand dip applicator that comes in a mascara looking container. I'm wondering which of these (pen or dip pen) works easiest/best. Also how do the different color pens look, and how well do they work? These products are pricey! It would be neat to see them in action before purchasing. Like how well they work watching a regular person (you) use the products vs a marketing video for the company.
