IF Bethesda actually sticks to their plan on how to acquire the armor and how things are working on the PTS for now, they'll suffer a massive backlash from the player base. It's already kinda hard to get the Secret Service pieces you want, even though you can craft them legendary yourself. introducing a new Armor set that you HAVE to farm through Daily OPs and that being also non-legendary version that you can craft......f*ck, Bethesda will get so much hate and criticism

With that being said I understand why peopled exploited that stupid rep system was cancer the rewards you got was stupid. If players actually stand up to Bethesda and demand changes, and I mean demand not just complain they will listen. If people demand higher stashes, a better daily limit and the removal of the stupid untradeable system they would listen. Especially if almost all to a majority of the gamers just stopped playing for a week or 2. The impact alone it would have on them would be major. After finally getting the same exact rolls on all pieces I can say without a doubt that the only difference is that the bos armor has slightly better defense against ballistic damage, but less in energy. Personally I'm very disappointed in the amount of cores and modules I wasted for a set of armor I used for script. SS still holds the title of best set.

I'm going for the BoS Recon. I played the game more than a year ago the last thing I remember doing is getting the Backpack. I returned to the game a couple weeks ago. I finish the BoS quest line (because I love the BoS) and I'm half way the Wastelanders quest. Since I'm a returning player and I don't have the Secret Service armor (didn't even know existed) and I like the BoS, then I'm going to try to get the BoS Recon Armor. Emphasis in TRY, I know is a grind.

I got my SS at Full buttressed + Vanguard which gives me a total of +750 Defense and energy without power armor so in the end Secret Service gets that big W

Regarding 8:10 ish : neither armor nor rad-x affect the incoming radiation damage from enemy attacks. So different armor won't show any damage. I don't think that's a bug, just how it's been for as long as I can remember

Your main enemies in Steel Dawn are Super Mutants not Scorchbeasts. AKA: More physical damage. That's my guess about the design differences.

Thanks for taking the time to test these, Marta. I've never been a fan of untradeable gear. I like to gear up my alts with stuff my main won't use. I understand why Bethesda is doing it, mainly to prevent duping. But that's just lazy programming. Add in the RNG of getting the legendary I want...this is just a big NO.

Compared to so many other MMO‘s out there, the ability in 76 to get the new and top-tier items is completely out of whack. There is literally a possibility that you can never ever get an armor set that you want. There is a possibility that you can never ever get a weapon with the perks on it you want. That’s ridiculous. I’ll just stick to my secret service armor and keep trying to roll my perfect set. If I get the new armor fine if I don’t which is more likely, well at least I’ve got my current set to keep me happy. I was expecting the Recon armor to be better overall, it is a known fact that ballistic damage is more dangerous in FO76. But very good and consistent tests, thank you!

In a post-apocalyptic world it would make more sense if the Brotherhood armor would be slightly more resistant to radiation having a lead lining or something of that nature due to the fact that they manufactured or adapted the armor after the war and they have to deal with pockets of radiation from the bombs and so on much more than Pre-War... Energy can kind of sort of be explained away most wastelanders will be using Ballistic weapons be it crude pipe weapons, Pre-War Ballistic weapons or High Quality post-war ballistic weapons but the drop in defense by 60 in both Rads and Energy is insane it should have been at least equal to or in my opinion slightly better than the Secret service armor in rad protection and maybe have a 20-30 energy resistance reduction as a trade off. With the amount of energy weapons the super mutants carry and the oddly high amount of not only laser but plasma weapons the hostile raiders have access to is quite bizarre and not quite lore accurate but then again Bethesda doesn't care about continuity or lore since they made Fallout 3 they just went even further down the rabbit hole. I hope Mocrosoft turns this back over to Obsidian so we can get a true RPG fallout again in a updated style of New Vegas Mabey whit vehicles who knows.

Good review, worth considering legendary perks where you need a complete set , I run unyielding SS with legendary benefits, and also gain from poison and energy damage resistance as a result having invested in same, +100 for both. To grind a complete set of BOS seems a non starter.....BOS armour should be gold bullion option, not just mods. I permanently have 5000 in the bank which is unusable having bought everything sensible. PS4 pro player so no console related "options"

Months of grinding...... nope ! I'll stick with my almost complete S.S Set 😆 For my S.S armor when complete, it will take about a month and a half of grinding with about 85 pieces of throw away or scrip armor... plus over 5000 Gold Bullion = Underarmor set, S.S set & upgrades My orig. armor set took awhile to fine tune then I started building a unyeilding set & that was a project, finding 3 great 3 star pieces took months of grinding events & looking through players vending machines and many,many rolls with "the old bag of the wastelands" ! Now I have a sweet set of unyeilding armor... & 4 of the 5 pieces have a 20% weight deduction. 2 weapons, 1 ammo & 1 food & drink ! Now I'm 2 pieces done out of 5 of S.S armor with another month of grinding ahead of me ! This will be my last set of armor... That its ...... after my S.S set is finished I'm done ! No more grinding..... even if the BOS set was twice as good as the S.S set.... I'M DONE ✌😎 ☆Fallout 76 the grind never ends☆

Thanks for. As it currently stands, it seems it might be an upgrade but the grind is way too much for such a limited improvement. Secret Service armour was better than the mixed bag of armour people previously ran with, plus you can specifically roll for new pieces by using legendary modules. Can’t see this new stuff is worth the effort.

My main character is level 600, using all heavy combat armor. I have 2 legendary effects left to get to have all 15 effects I want. Is it worth the grind? Not at all, I don't want to grind for 2 years to get what I already have for extra defense that isnt going to make a difference since I am already in diminishing returns for defense. As for the radiation defense.... maxed What Rads perk is plenty.

You can only get a rare plan once a day, if your lucky you can get two plans for the daily ops per day. Once you get your plan you can’t get plans again for the day and you will have to wait for the next day to do it again.

Bull we should get two chances for daily ops sometimes people don't get anything for days like me 6 days getting nothing, re roll twice at least, for a 1 percent chance that's near impossible.
