Very clean install nicely done. Thanks for explaining the Gremlins. I put a fuse block in, the fuse box has six fuses and I run it off a relay off that license plate light in the back. The fuse box is a tight squeeze under the seat but it makes it nice to work with once it's in. Obviously with the relay nothing comes on unless the bike is on, and is off once the bike is off. I don't have the benefit of a short delay in startup and shutdown that is a nice feature. Currently I run two outlets one at 12 volt circular connector and one double USB I also have a relay and a switch to run some fog lights in the front. They are off one of the fuses in the back as well. I've got a heated jacket and heated gloves as well. Running the heated jacket, the heated gloves, the fog lights, and the accessory outlets is a bit too much for the Himalayan. It just doesn't have a big enough alternator to handle all that load. Thus I think six circuits is probably plenty. 🙂
@WeeJaunt2 жыл бұрын
Wow sounds like you have a great set up. I'm sure it does the business. I agree on the Himi alternator or the alternator on any bike tbh it's not a great idea to run absolutely everything all at the same time..infact wish I'd mentioned it in the video lol thanks for bringing it up and thanks for watching mate 👍

Thanks John this job looks more complicated than it actually is so I had a bit of a surprise with the light fault. But again I learned something new about the Himi again so all good.

Nice install, keeps everything tidy. I’ve done similar on my Himalayan with a Fuzeblock.

Excellent Adrian I also looked at the Fuzeblock + Denali. Both technically better than the innovv but when I saw the innovv on sale for £39 I just had to buy it at that price. Thanks for watching mate 👍

@@WeeJaunt Hi just seen your innovv install , it was great by the way. I have one question if you could help please, I'm going to fit a set of 40w led spot lights do I have to fit another relay for the lights or can I run straight of the innovv wiring
@WeeJaunt2 жыл бұрын
@@jeffreydawson2090 Hi you don't need an extra relay mate the innovv system is basically a fancy relay controlling 5 devices just hook it up to one of the outlets. I'm doing exactly that install in the next week or so. The lights might have an inline fuse already you can leave it in place but I would just cut it out. You don't need 2 fuses. The innovv 1 has higher amp than innovv 2 for the same money but it's a bit bigger. I just went for innovv 2 as I figured it was enough for my needs. If ur not sure just get the bigger one. Thanks mate 👍

The way to go … I had a PDM60 from another bike I installed. On that one you can program the time delay each circuit comes live as well as the amps on the circuit so no need to the physical fuses. Lot more money, like I say came with another bike and I swapped it over. I cut mine into the docs tray so I can see the lights. Pics can be supplied !
@WeeJaunt2 жыл бұрын
Ah yes Nev the PDM is the Rolls Royce of switched systems eh. Nice that you can adjust amps etc. Very clever cheers mate 👍
@johnnysneds2 жыл бұрын
I also had the PDM60 on an Africa Twin. Nothing better out there functionality wise and electronic smart fuses is incredibly innovative . However the price tag is a bitter pill to swallow. INNOVV does the same thing in a more basic and robust manner, better for reliability imho.

There are two black ground wires: output and input. Do you connect the output ground to the frame and the input ground to the battery? Or the same location as the ground output on the frame ? Thanks
@WeeJaunt2 жыл бұрын
You can do either mate whatever suits I put the ground on the bike along with all the rest but to do that I extended the wire by a few inches. You can connect to the battery if that's easier for you though.

Well its slightly better priced than the overpriced thunderbox, but on my tiger 800 i just picked the trigger wire for my innovv k7 from the rear light yellow wire I soldered the joint and also linked a tail to my innovv third eye. All works fine

I want to install the new version of this on my 2022 Himi. I'm happy with most of it but can you clarify where and how the trigger wire is connected to a switched live please?

I have a 6-way marine fuse box power by the yellow wire to the rear lamp. At the moment it's a bit over Kill as i only run a USB socket and a pair of LED spots. A lot of the power hubs ive seen are from the USA and cost double of the Innovv one. Do you think they had sticky keys or a stutter when they named the company?. Apparently the make good dual camera kits for bikes
@WeeJaunt2 жыл бұрын
Haha yes mate. Stutter 😂 I kept an eye on this for a while waiting for a deal. Overkill is always better than underkill Iain at least you are future proofed and you can add things if need be. 👍
