I like this Inoue better. With his power, speed, and accuracy. He will eventually break his opponent down. There is no need to rush for the KO reel and get dropped carelessly like vs. Nery.

In Inoues corner, his dad had told him to take it lightly in the early round. That's why inoue didn't really take off until round 4-5ish. His dad mentioned that TJ likes to be aggressive in the early rounds, so he probably wanted TJ to gas out maybe.

additionally Inoue is really good at analysing the opponents. I am pretty sure that the more passive first rounds were the result of him getting downed by Nery in round 1. While it was indeed impressive how many rounds Inoue won in a row, it is prudent for him to hold back until he figured his opponent out. Towards the end of round 4 Inoue was confident he can read most of Dohenys faints and punches and started to pile on pressure. Round 6 was very painful for Doheny and even before the final assault right before the bell, he was visibly shaken up. I genuinely believe that even without the injury Doheny would not have survived round 7.

Inoue has been impressive for years,so it won't matter how he looks as long as he disposes of the guy in front of him. What impressed me was the belly shot that dislocated his spine.

TJ rehydrated to 145 pounds and has good left power punch. So I think he was being cautious and waited untill he figured him out and tire him out first.

His team plan was to go slow earlier rounds since he got dropped for the first time from nery. Also dohenny is known to gains 12kg for recovery weight. He was testing I believe

I don’t know what match this dude watched. People expect Inoue to KO people instantly or something. Inoue blocked or rolled with all doheny’s punches and landed tonw of brutal body shots. Inoue controlled the entire fight easily.

Nakatani is indeed a beast and that would be a great fight. I think Inoue would have a lot of success countering him in the later rounds. Nakatani lunges at times, overextends, and Indont think he's as twitchy as Inoue; he can't recover as quickly, doesn't have Inoue's feet.

When your opponent hydrates to 145-147lbs on fight night. You better be cautious for the first 3 rounds. Measuring if you can absorb or take his punches. 😂

Being more cautious in the early rounds was their game plan. They knew Doheny's only chance was catching Inoue making a mistake. Innoue was doing pot shots and body punches until the end of the 6th where Doheny got hit with a nasty combo that ended with a big body shot that visually hurt him. Inoue noticed this and went back to the body as soon as the bell rang. He hit Doheny so hard to the body that he "hurt" his back. This fight shows us different level to Inoue skill set being patience and precision.

Pro fighters are the pros for a reason. They’re supposed to have the pro game-plan with the pro team to fight anywhere in the world. @@lnaturalist when you don't like a fighter for whatever reason, you'll always find a reason to hate him. He had fought overseas and yet they are still saying that he needs to outside his home country. He doesn't need to go to the judges for a hometown decision. Don't hear anyone trashing Kamboso when he fought Haney twice in his hometown....is that because he has his ass handed to him. So if Inoue was to lose to Doheny then what would be the narrative?

Not nearly as much, when he actually respects someone's power. It's not a mechanical thing with Inoue, he's just usually more concerned with getting his opponent to open up, than he is worried about getting clipped. I really think if Inoue wanted to, he could get up on his toes and win decisions easily and never put himself in harm's way. He really wants to KO everyone, though. He may have to change that attitude a little if/when he goes up in weight.
