Come back to this so many times. Watched it live streaming and buzzing from seeing Inoue blitz McDonnell and Payano. Was impressed with how Rodriguez was not overawed in the first round despite the crisp work of Inoue. And then that second round...Just stunned. He nearly lifted him off his feet with that left hook! Such a skilled boxer but possesses such power. Not been this excited to watch a fighter since they showed Mike Tyson's early fights on World of Sport and Nigel Benn!

As a Japanese person, I must say that Rodriguez believed he could defeat Inoue and was truly determined to do so. That's why he continued to stand right in front of Inoue. In fact, the pressure and speed he showed in the first round conveyed that he is indeed a world-class fighter. It wasn't courage against Inoue, but confidence in himself. I believe he is one of the few boxers who have shown us this

I still remember some people said Inoue would be tested for the first time against Rodriguez. After the fight, they said Rodriguez was overrated and Inoue had yet to beat anyone.😂 But Rodriguez has practically only lost to Inoue, he's a good fighter. After Inoue moves to S. Who would have thought Donaire could have rejuvenated his once-great but diminishing career to rise back up to the very top of the sport again. They both inspired each other to reach deep into the well to bring out everything they had in there...and they have each other to thank for bringing out the very best in each of them.
