Bats was trained by the league of assassin before he started his gig. The Robins/Batgirl were under Batmans tutelage and always by his side during missions. Terry was thrown into the pit of wolves on his first day alone with little to no training and experience only supported by an aging Bruce via comms. A reason terry is one of my favourites in the Bat family

Design-wise she's an amazing character. Lore wise, the character is completely lacking. I feel like since villains are one of the best qualities to DC Comics, she falls flat as a Clayface clone without much to make her stand out. If her motivations were out of desperation or revenge, she would have been a more interesting character. Her sole motivation is greed.

@@xaracen7207 well I think the research that went into making Mr Freeze's body in Batman beyond was actually being funded by old Bruce Wayne but I don't see any references so I could be wrong but when Derek Powers got involved that research was turned over to a Miss lake she was the scientist that designed Mr Freeze's body but then when it started to fail she equally trapped him inside a room that was hot to slowly kill him The sad part is if they had simply told him that the body was failing and that they could switch him out into another body but they didn't My theory is that Derek Powers didn't want the idea that he was also trying to create bodies for himself to come out because that would have told the entire world that something was wrong with him

Inque is such a fascinating villain. And I love that her strengths and weaknesses have similarities to the Clayface we knew in the DCAU. It makes perfect sense that Bruce is standing there all cool and steady with the hose while Terry is jumping around fighting her. Bruce knows exactly what to do from his own time with the cowl.

He doesn't though. Unlike Clayface, Inque isn't slow and clumsy. Matt Hagen was an actor, not a fighter, and he relied on his mass to get the job done. Inque on the other hand was a smaller and quicker target who's had years to hone her technique doing what she does. Even if Bruce were in his prime, he wouldn't have beaten her without some help

Such a great character. She whooped Terry's ass and came back stronger each time. Her downfall (as with many other SUCCESSFUL supervillains) was probably her arrogance. To this day she is me, my brother's and my cousin's favorite villain from that show. She could take down a LOT of popular characters nowadays but of course they'd likely weaken her in newer plots by sicking Aquaman on her or something.

The guy is an idiot, he released a dangerous criminal that he was in love with and had no problem with her trying to kill Batman just so he could be with her and get her powers, in a sense I could say he was a different take of Harley Quinn to her Joker, except he doesn't last the episode and his fate is entirely deserved and not worth seeing again, and once she is done with him she never needs him again. She didn't ask him to do anything for him, he is the one who did something on his own accord entirely, they never talked before until she was released by him, he had one sided conversations with her the entire time while she most likely would have prefered if he would just shut up.

Honestly most of the villains on the show were a bit lackluster except for Inque and maybe one or two others. But all in all it was a great example of how to follow up on the original story and create a proper next gen series. My favorite episode probably has to be when Terry is sent to visit Bane, only to discover a decrepit atrophy-ridden body that was once a monster of an adversary to Bruce. Chilling.

Alright so basically, in the Justice League Unlimited episode Epilogue, Terry (the Batman we see here) is revealed to be Bruce's son. Behind this is Amanda Waller, who used Bruces DNA to overwrite Terry's original father reproductive DNA, to ensure there would still be a Batman in the future, because a world without Batman is unacceptable. Terry only found about this later, he didn't know his actual father was Bruce Wayne, until the episode Epilogue. The reason for as to why Terrys parents were chosen, is because they were the closest match to Bruces parents psychology wise. If I got anything wrong, then please correct me.

Man, inque was such a cool villain. She a professional that more or less beats the hell out of terry every time they meet, isn’t afraid to bail if she’s on the job but IS petty enough to absolutely mop the floor with terry for getting in her way. Also helps that they absolutely nailed it with the animation for her, the fluid in motion is always interesting to watch. The fluid isnt too “gloopy” slow moving like how i’ve seen a lot of other shows animate “goo” villains, even as a puddle inque always moves with speed, intention, and urgency. Would love to see inque or another goo villain done in the same way in more animated media sometime.

I don't watch Batman but seeing villains like this makes me want to see it. I wish that instead of it all being the joker there were more interesting and powerful villains like this.

The Animated Series and Batman Beyond gave screen time to many (nearly all) of Batman's villains. I highly recommend both. They can have funny, intense, and incredibly poignant storylines.
