Awesome as always from Inquisition. They are that good that some great albums from them get swept under the rug, and i feel like this maybe one of those albums. Black Mass for a Mass Grave seemed to have a ton of hype behind it and it took off in the scene. This album seems to be going under the radar.
@JohnDiabol7 ай бұрын
Black mass was such an amazing comeback from them after all the drama that went down in 2018. I know a lot of people were very hyped for it and they crushed even the highest of expectations. I rightfully think Black Mass is the best album they ever did. This one seems like a very natural continuation from Black Mass in my opinion, kind of like a Chapter 2 of Black Mass with some elements from earlier albums as well. I definitely think this is a very worthy album and I know I am gonna be listening to it a lot, but it probably won't take the spot as my favorite release from them. But I think It might be one of their top 5 best ones actually.

Listened to the album 5 times and love it before noticing you had posted this. Now watching along with you this was really fun to see you react to the bits that I love already. Really cool album, has the atmosphere of Black Mass but alot more ferocity like their earlier stuff. Would like to see you do more of this reacts. Thanks man

Inquisition never disappoints! Only listened a couple times so far, but digging it a lot. Maybe not quite on the level of their absolute best, but thats a high mark they have set for themselves. Very good album that I will surely be spending a lot of time with. Also, we should still do a collab sometime soon...maybe next month we can pick a day that would work. Anyways, cheers Questy!

As for days, I am usually free on Saturdays during the day, if that works for you? The time difference between us may throw things off though haha. Maybe Feb. 10 or 17? It sounds a lot like a natural continuation from black mass but with some elements borrowed from bloodshed
@Thabba767 ай бұрын
@@JohnDiabol yeah exactly, its mainly the production and vocal performance that reminded me of bloodshed but everything else does indeed feel like sequel to black mass (which is a good thing, black mass is easily in my top 3 inquisition albums)

Parece um álbum de transição. Gostei demais da sonoridade, diferente que inova e mantém a pegada genuína deles. Senti elementos de grunge, country e gothic em meio as atmosferas. Ficou divino!
@vishalnagaraj53437 ай бұрын
The most ferocious album since Nefarious! I feel like some of the atmospheric sections have actually been refined on this album! But the sum of the parts doesn't outweigh the whole. I.e., too many songs, too little impact. It's rewarding to listen to in the sense that the tracks improve throughout the album. Strong 7 imo

Was taken by such a surprise when I was reminded Inquisition were coming out with a new album! Black Mass is one of my favourite albums ever, don't know how many times I've heard it. This one the first couple times around I do like as much but It's still fuking awesome, with more listens we'll see. I definitely agree with you though, this album sounds like a nice mix of their earlier stuff and their newer more atmospheric, melodic stuff. Side note, whenever I think of the Black Mass album I always end up thinking about the movie "Black Mass of the Nazi Sex Wizard" 😂 Which is not a good movie, but still, the name is amazing.

Huge Inquisition fan since the 90s here. For me everything until Nefarious Dismal Orations is godlike. "Obscure Verses for the Multiverse" was still pretty good. After that there were some good riffs left but the primary focus got lost. The production of the current album is pretty weak (not bestial and majestic). The lead guitars are much too loud and 0 elaborated. Some good riffs are still here and there but it's not for me anymore.

Never been able to get into Inquisition, but decided to take this journey with you, Questy. I made it through about 4 songs before tapping out. Some of the riffs and atmospheric parts were cool, but the ghoulish Popeye vocals ruined it for me. Glad everyone else seems to love it though.
