I am with you there on deciding to be celibate. I chose this in 2023 and it definitely brought me closer to God and the plans He has for my life. It’s difficult in the beginning but you get to a point where you just focus and aren’t distracted by anyone who wants to take you out of this. God really does know us from the core. Ma’am you are preaching coz you just made me have an Aha moment. Your break up which was painful brought you closer to God, for me it was different. 2023 has been the best year of my life, I achieved so many things and my wildest dreams came true to a point where I said it can only be God. There was no way I did that myself. My point is, God knows us sooo well that he knows what will bring us closer to him, for you it was heartache, for me it was success. This only brought me closer to God coz I have had a lot of failures prior to 2023 to a point I was doubting if God really exists. Ohh Aunty, I went through the same transition, it was so lonely. My relationship with God got deeper and I lost a lot of friends that were no longer aligning with the path God had for me. I dropped everything and everyone, to start all over. I found my perfect match, I asked God exactly for the kind of man I needed, a man after God's heart, a true gentleman convicted by the Holy Spirit. And life has been so beautiful, no lies, no cheating, we both don't drink and party, our life is fully immersed in God and its sooooo great!
