I like to believe that there's an alternate universe where I had a team as good as yours in this match. Playing Mercy is so frustrating when everyone splits or tank is underperforming. still working on my mercy, i don’t have as fast reflexes so i’m working on that :) my teams in gold/plat/diamond heavily lean on me for heals still but i have been trying to damage boost more! still don’t trust my 2nd healer too much because i can get really unlucky with dps kirikos who ignore roadhogs that have used their healing and i can’t keep them alive with my healing only

I see that you tend to swap between the backward GA and a regular superjump GA a lot, in what situation should you use which one?

I'm not as good as her but my guess would be backwards SJ if there isn't much cover if you go straight up and to keep distance more. I saw her backwards SJ when she had to connect her beam to someone who is playing closer.

I'm loving season 2 with mercy! Playing with new friends and them being like "what the fucc is your mercy" is so good I didn't know max payload speed is 3 players! Is it the same for push and point capturing? Edit: As of playing competitive for the first time, my record damage boost is 2450. Not a lot but with my team I'm still needing to do a lot more healing than damage boost, rounding out to about 42-58 split

well - for push, the maximum speed can be achieved with just 1 person at the robot. and for point, the speed increases depending on how much players are on the field (with the max being 5).

im a mercy main trying to climb out of gold, and i dont think a lot of players realize that damage boost helps farm ults a lot quicker. having someone on your team whose mindful of damage boost is super powerful!!

Games are different lengths so it’s best to look at the damage boost per 10 stat. Try to have this above 1.5k but around 2k is good! 👍

i finally reached plat 3 i was hardstuck gold, my advice is to not die a lot. when the fight is not winnable just leave. dont get in suicidal positions and dont die following your teammate that has no idea what theyre doing

Hi! I went from silver to plat 1 in season one after 250 games. Then i got deranked to gold 4 at the start of season 2. After 100 games, im diamond 5. It takes ALOT of effort to climb as mercy because her value is so low if you dont have good dps. Best tips are push damage boost, and NEVER die first.

I think that setting exist. If my memory serves me right, you can pick: "prefer beam target" "prefer ally in front" "only ally in front"

The one Zhau uses (and the one I and most people recommend) is called “prefer facing target”. It allows you to GA to who you’re looking at even if you’re beaming someone else. If you’re beaming someone and not looking at anyone, you’ll GA to who your beam is on.

There is much more than just damage boosting when making impact on mercy. Decision making, good res usage, not dying at bad times. But it is a key part of her kit that can have a big impact.
