I am seriously excited to see this 26er project bro. I think this is going to be an amazing bike for you. Yes it may be a bit "small" the bike and frame itself but look at what they are riding at Rampage. It's all 26s with a random 27.5 rider or two at most, most years it's legitimately 26in wheels on every bike. Again, a few exceptions but mostly small or medium frames. It seems crazy because of the terrain but there must be a reason why the best free-riders go with it. Having countless riding time on a BMX I can see this bike being the dream for you.

You can get a DMR single speed conversion kit which comes with spacers, sprocket, and a chain tension-er, also if you go on eBay you can pick up some real cheap 6mm spacers to go between the disc and the hub.

You can find a set of spacers and a cog on Amazon no problem. But, you will need a chain tensioner. S b one makes a really good dh single speed chain tensioner. As for disk brake spacers put this in the amazon search bar: Syntace Disc Shims Bag of 8 and there you have it.

Harry, for the rear mech, look at a Reverse components SBOne and single speed kit. As for the frame colour, do it deep purple with some custom Commencal and OWNA decals. And keep it in the long setting, still plenty playful while being stable (and with it being a small frame, will make it less of a BMX on you haha)

The 26" will be sooo much fun. Bring your ebike up to Innerleithen and I'll take you on some amazing trails. I'm out 3-5 times per week on my custom Levo carbon Expert. I recommend the Brand-X Ascend dropper from Chain Reaction, it's very affordable and way way way better than any of my other expensive droppers.

For single speed... look into getting a Halo Fat Foot cog or something similar ...fits Shimano splines and is thicker than a usual cog, so it stops it from eating into your cassette splines.

You can run a single speed on the shimano freehub. There are spacer and sprocket kits available. But I'd stick with a rear mech set up personally. Each to their own though. Oh and I suggest cherry red for the frame respray.

you can make almost any bike singlespeed, on bmx and most specific dirt jump frames the dropouts let you move the wheel back for chain tention, but on the dh mtb, as long as it has a derailleur mount, you can put a singulator on it. if you have gears, the derailleur shifts and puts tention on the chain, singulator is same thing but doesn't shift and is made to put tention on chain but with a cleaner look. make sure you get the same chainring and rear cog size, cassetes have different chain size,[skinnier]. also, the only con of a singulator, is if you don't have a really strong spring, it can tention it enough where its tentioned but it may skip. but if you get a really good singulator it wont happen. theres also other type of spring tentioners btw, but I use a singulator.
