INSANE 50k Tournament Ending

What is funny is seeing gingi talking about it like it was unintentional. Last year he saw a team doing exactly the same thing I remember and he got very excited, and nothing got fixed. I don't blame him, it's 50k at the end of the day. Blizzard slacked real hard on fixing this ending/roof, so they deserve the backlash now

I mean, I somewhat believe Gingi - the initial going up clearly was unintentional, it was Max's jump pad, and he only followed Trill to kill him. Him abusing the fact that up there the storm doesn't hit you is obviously intentional.

How does blizzard think this format is good. Here I’ll fix it for them in 10 seconds. Have a total of 7 games make each game worth a set amount of points… whoever has the most points after 7 games wins. Tournament format fixed. How are tournament organizers this stupid. Points literally don’t mean anything and benefit those that play like rats. Heck if you wanna make it more interesting award more points based off of most kills in the round, team placing, etc. Why on earth should a 10th place team have any chance of ever winning.

For true fairness, everything in the storm - including buildings - should be destroyed and fly away like mobs. This prevents rats from hiding on rooftops while others die. Shame on Blizzard for such game mechanics. This player knew the exploit from streams, having watched similar tactics before. His strategy was pure cheating - zero skill, just a planned method to win, regardless of future criticism. This is like a marathon where a runner is literally picked up by a car and driven directly to the finish line. And those who say they'd do the same are just as much rats. Honestly whatever for Xaryu and Pikaboo. As someone who enjoys their content it’s a bummer. The bigger issue lies with an upsetting ending in general. Blizzard marketed Plunderstorm 2 years in a row, designed a bunch of in game cosmetics, tons of advertisements in and out of the game, it’s a pretty fun unique game mode in the WoW engine, and then the big tournament with tons of viewers per streamer ends with some guy standing on a tower. Who was on a team that did basically nothing the entire time.
