12:05 the ability to drop off mechs next to your tanks for extra cover can be invaluable though. I mostly play on fog, where doing that can also have a huge surprise advantage, especially when dropping them into forrests. But my point is: I like getting a T-copter at negative cost. Just gotta find the right moment to sink the funds.

I can't thank you enough for all the great content. I got pretty bummed out when Re-Boot was delayed but giving Dual Strike a shot and the AWBW community with all their passion really rekindled (pun intended) my love for the franchise. There's so much depth and finesse in these matches. And while I've mostly been a single player person so far. It's incredibly interesting to get a look at the thought processes and strategies being used. You're one of the very few channels where I automatically press the like button before watching the video, cause I know it's gonna be some good stuff!

It's me. I'm here to analyze mech gaming.. Mech 1 - Player Kindle - Build date Day 7 or something - Codename "Chuckles" - Yeah I don't think mech are going to do a whole lot on this map especially on day 6 when there's millions of infantry on the front line to obliterate them. Maybe it's preparation for defense on his weak side, which sounds good on paper. Chuckles Day 12 - Chuckles was actually maintaining a pretty cool looking defensive keystone point in this position and it looked annoying to attack. Mech 2 - Player Andy - Build date Day 12 - Codename "Jeff the MD Tank" - Jeff actually has a rare condition where he thinks he's a 3000 dollar MD Tank defending this base down here. Day 13: Jeff dies in obscurity.. Day 15: Chuckles goes 9/3 against an enemy tank. Holy mother of efficiency. Is black playing Colin? Where's this guy getting all this money from? Oh, he chunked a tank with a full HP mech? **** everybody RUN he's FILTHY RICH. Day 16: Chuckles dies, a hero. Mech 3 - Player Kindle - Build date Day 22 - Codename "Mortimer": Mortimer was born on the year of Day 22. It appeared he would begin an illustrious career by chunking the hell out of a tank or anti air or I mean artillery, but the war ended on that day. I can only crown izanagi The Michigan Maneuver Mech Master this time.

As funny as this sounds back when youtube started recommanding me a bunch of AW content I got so fucking lost cuz I played the game in french and it got me some time to get used to CO. Oh and also Anti Air is litteraly the name of the long range anti air (I think missiles in english?) While missile launcher in french is the rocket. Oh and mechs are called Bazookas took some time to get used to too. I don't remember exactly what CO was in french, maybe General or something but in any case it was only one word so that one also took some time to understand

Andy is a very interesting CO. I would find that Andy and Hachi was a vicious combination for much of the end of game Advance Wars Dual Strike content, since his power meter is short and is super power is underestimated. Against lower level players there is a game of chicken where you don't want to pick Rachel or Drake since the opponent may pick Andy can just heal up the damage done. I check everyone's CO picking history when in Andy's tier to make sure they don't pick him and I change my strategy if they are an Andy main. I think this match up displayed how underrated Andy is. It takes so much effort to kill off 2 or 3 HP units when a superior player can move them to the back lines for protection. Lastly, Andy is difficult to play against because his units (any of his units ) can randomly gain +1 movement or gain +5 health. How do you take that into account with the move planner. Very difficult to do when a superior opponent is front switching, and you have to take all these variables into account. when playing against kindle you essentially just have to avoid letting him attack while on cities and minimize leaving your units on cities.

32:23 shouldn't izanagi just started capturing that base on that turn instead of just blocking it? You had nothing that could stop it, except if you super power'd for more mobility... In which case a simple blocking effort would prevent attacks on capturing infantry.

Since there were no full hp infantry ready to capture the base, waiting one turn with capturing wouldn't matter.

This was a great match! I like the tech with the Lander and will start implementing that into some of my maps that i design. I usually use mountains and pipes to act as barriers because i make mostly small maps but having a Lander in a deep lake is genius design! I have saw it before in other videos, but this one made me realise just how strategic they can be. Great game as well 👍

today I learned: early baselock is not always win a bomber can pay for itself by panicking the enemy into overbuilding AA, although taking out a neotank helps the baphomet-kun song doesn't just loop repetively forever, at least not that first part

I think one of the most important things that separates skill levels of players is knowing when to pull back and not overcommit. If you win an engagement, you don't always need to press the advantage.
