Well isn’t it the boss interaction more than Lucious himself. I mean the only fix to Lucious is being able to see his damnation stacks. What moonton really fixed is the boss and how he works after dispelled. Before the boss was like Igaf I’m adding what I was suppose to have and now he has to work his way back up from 0. Technically Lucious hasn’t changed the way the boss acts has.

He's working as intended, this is how dispelling buff supposed to be IMO. The thing is, he's the only one that dispel buff in phase 2 semrah while in other phases you can use other heroes (even epic) to help. They should add an epic hero that can do a weaker version of lucian's buff dispel, just like how nazeem/marri can CC to help with phase 1, and how midan and later nissandei can help with phase 3.

With some of the triple SSS+ hero’s we have, I feel like it’s ok to let him have a shining point too. Yes he’s a good hero even without this, but this makes him amazing in a small piece of a specific piece of content. Will he get better as more content comes? Probably. And I’m okay with that. This change enables what I thought I was getting when I bought and pulled enough Ancients to get an A4 Lucius. While I have continued to use him on GB2, I can still only break a little over 80 as I don't have Carnelian, who appears to be essential to get past the 120k threshold for top chest. We'll see once this comes to global if the change will be enough to push my team to that level.

This isn't just Lucius working the way he should, this is how Semrah should have worked in the first place. No game I have ever played has buffs like this where you just pick up back where you left off at max stacks+1. It made absolutely no sense. Also, good to see the stacks indicator finally added. We need this for Iovar now so I can actually do max damage with him by not having to stop the game to count the swords mid fight.

For me I'm always stuck at phase 2 on apoc 2. No matter what I've tried I can't push up past bottom chest or 2, now maybe I'll have a shot for better rewards and stop falling back so far from others who have been able to get all those ancient exclusive heroes that can do damage(just my rng luck, I'm sure some are worse but definitely more have had better from less). I'm sure more end game content will come to keep pushing these heroes potential. Always a progression here with WoR. Idk, never can everyone be pleased with something but I think more will be happy with it.

I have no issue with the fix itself, this is how we all thought it would work initially so it makes sense. I'll push back slightly on the idea that Lucius basically keeping those buffs constantly removed is the same thing as what Nazeem, Elowyn and Carnelian do in this fight. There's basically nothing that threatens in phase 2 except for those hardening stacks, either because of the increased Earth Shatter damage or because the buffs make it harder to deal enough damage within the time limit. Despite having both Elowyn and Carnelian in my comp there are plenty of things in phase 1 and 3 that can go wrong and cause a wipe, but that's not really the case at all anymore in phase 2 after this change. The flip side of that is that now not having Lucius basically caps you at Overdrive 3 unless you can bring a Praetus team. Your could make the argument that Elowyn does the same thing for P3 but there are at least other options (Midan, Dassomi, Eunomia to a lesser degree), and there are plentiful stun options if you don't want to use Nazeem. For reference/transparency I run an Infernal/Watcher comp with Ingrid but without Praetus and I top out around 170k mech parts, before Ingrid I was topping out around 100k. Beyond the nuances to the fight I really just don't like trivializing what is supposed to be some of the hardest content in the game. There's really not that much to work towards in this game once you hit endgame outside of GvG, Arena, and I guess Void Rift Epilogue. GB2 used to be on that list but I think after this change that will no longer be the case - most late to endgame accounts will be able to clear 120k now assuming they have Lucius. I don't think it's good for the long term health of the game to have basically no PvE milestones to work towards. Hopefully this becomes a focus moving forward and there is some kind of uncapped game mode where there's a reason to continue pushing content.

Still bit of a problem on lucian that if he has too much atk speed with low rage regen he never gets to ult cause he always goes to demonic embrace all the time but thats easily fixed by taking some atk speed off. Would wish that lucius ultimate would remove buffs until ultimate ends but that might be too much to ask.

Being able to control your character properly is not busted, its not crazy, and its certainly not unreasonable. Lucius having the ability to finally know when its best and when its not best to ult really only makes it so that he is on even playing field with everyone else in the roster that you have 100% control over when it comes to their ultimate. The fact of the matter is Semrah was never meant to just pick up right where he left off with his buffs; it wouldn't make sense, it goes completely contradictory to the whole point of dispelling them. If you dispel a buff the boss wouldn't be like "oh nah I'm good I'll just pretend you didn't do that." and just put all of them back up like that. Its a false bit of difficulty people might be trying to claim because the boss was messed up to begin with. This is how things are supposed to be and I'm happy they finally made Lucius how he was meant to be and debugged the boss.

I don't think it makes Lucius overpowered. I think it fixes an issue and he will be working as intended once the fix comes. The real problem, and let's be honest this is true. The "end" game competetive players saying it's broken or game breaking are saying that because he isn't as difficult to get or even use. At least not compared to other heros. This makes the content more accessible for more player which makes the "elites" not as special. That's just my opinion. It's not an attack, it's just what I think. I also don't think Ingrid is overpowered. I think the core issue is that the arena and gvg maps favor an Ingrid type character and simply making new maps and rotating them resolves about 90% of the complaints and honestly moaning people have been making.

I am top 100 in Semrah apoc 2, 140k pope torodor meta team and I think it is stupid to say that Lucius did not deserve the buff (not really a buff, just how it was intended to be used and I honestly believe Moonton is doing right by people that spent money for Lucius now). All the people at the top that say it is not ok for Lucius to be like this lack perspective because when Apoc 3 or 4 comes they will struggle as well without Lucius and they will be happy to use him, no matter if they have pope, torodor, lust a5 or whatever other shiny hero.

Do you have any data on the optimum speed and RR stats needed so that he can remove the buffs reliably without getting locked out? I normally try to remove them every other time Semrah applies them, but my timing seems a little quick. Or will this even matter once this fix takes effect?

Yeah he might be a god RIGHT NOW but all games like this need to develop new difficulties and having champs like lucius are often the gateway to making new higher difficulties playable but not necessarily beatable. We need to remember that he's not ESSENTIAL for most players who don't care about world rankings. Some of us just want to get the best rewards and that can be done (with more difficulty) without him. I think a big problem with gatcha games is a lot of people want to progress instantly. They're a long haul kinda game.

Lucius is working as he was advertised, before the top 100 teams didnt need a Lucius, they just needed the broken arbiters. Game soooo P2W now in PvP Ive gone total F2P from regular dolphin. Seems like the game jumped on the usual template. Cater to the 0.5%.

My data: expending mode: Kraken. End game player. Full roster of heroes (just no sargak :(). Focused on PvP mostly GvG. Pros and cons for me. -PRos: *Does this change affect balance in PVP? No. *Promotes competitive ambient on PvP by providing better rewards for players and incentivizes even some expending wich is good for the company and the future health of the game? YES. * Promotes forgoten factions as watchers in a way to make them more usable? YES. * Promotes game mechanic changes to make the game more appealing for PvP. Meaning by that to implement a buff/debuff system either for pve or pvp (arena cries for such a thing)? YES * Is this character what we pulled for back on the day even if it seemed broken: YES. Was it easy to get for almost every1: YES (2x 15x). * Shows some concerning matters on the buff/Debuff system display in the game UI and main screen (hard to get track of buffs / debuffs)? YES and thats where we should adress the pressure to make the company work on. -CONS: * Shows balancing issues or insufficient tested characters on or before release: forerunner is almost nonexistant, we global are the true test server and as far as money is involved this is not acceptable. * It is very hard to do but it would be wonderfull if this "nullifying mechanics" were the result of heroes synergies, not depending on pulling 1 specific hero. * Shows concerning predatory practices from the company by realeasing a hero and content that does not work as intended or is unfinished and charges you money for it. If it was an indie game that cost 8 bucks it will ok but people expending hundreds or thousands. No joke. So, for me, a good change all around. The cons are mostly my concerns about the future of the game. :D

Not everyone will have the hero’s you got. You rolled the account so many times to get what you want. I made a f2p when I started playing for 100 straight days, covering every piece of content. now im doing it with epics and you complain. it is 1.5hrs of rerolling to get idril and one other good hero (who in this case was brienne). that's that. if you are annoyed by me getting lucky with dolores later on, then go check out my original f2p series. took me over a month to get her. you may not want to be rude but to be blunt, i find this very rude.

All I’m asking is more knowledge and experience about gears,hero’s what to use and what not to use. I’m frustrated I’m almost around level 63 and I even pay for this game sometimes and spend money and I can not even pas gr3/18 with everything I have with the hero’s I have just because I have not much knowledge and experience on what to use or not to use I just can’t do it I spent 6 hours non stop repeating and trying and I can not do it

Wow, a lot of whining about Lucius. His feature worked....he dispelled Semrah's buffs. The fact that Semrah brought them back after giving you a window to dps him down could be seen as a boss mechanic. It's supposed to be end game content. It's fine that he now removes them permanently too. Moonton's game. I know no one will now whine that there's no challenging content and they're losing interest, right?

Nowhere did it say Semrah returned stacks to full nor that Lucius’s dispel was temporary. So you can understand while people were upset. No whining here tho so it seems like you are complaining about people’s past whining?

Nazeem gets one shot on later rounds. People are running two cleansers just to survive the poison phase without carn or the meta. This lucius, as you said, is now borderline broken. He removes every single mechanic from a phase, on auto ult. His timing was relatively simple already, like how yours has a 10s window at the start of the aegis phase you have to aim for. Every example anybody has given of 'this person breaks x' has many other options that do similar. Also, the devs should not be balancing or buffing heros based on 'what the players thought X mechanic would do' as we dont have any idea of long term plans. If people paid attention before release the lucius hype and subsequent multiple buffs would never have occured. Really is a shame so many wrote it off as a bug nobody even showed him working.

It's not a buff it's a fix. Did you even see the endless amount of bugs GB2 had? Most of them with Lucius. Apparently there is still one with earth shatter regarding dispelling mentioned in the last Q&A. I assume that is why he they finally fixed it.

Fasti iv been with you since day 1 partner. But the game is going down hill. Its starting to become like raid. And thats fine , but i dont wanna play raid. Thier tatics are more and more like raid. Been playing since release, im about done. The events are boring, and the rewards are not worth. The champions are broken. Or shit. Its becomming a job, idk , i think they need to change something or i expect the game wont last.

Lucius was an S on my tier list. I really think you are confused bro. I literally constantly make vids both praising and criticizing the game where fit. Lucius is and has always been crazy dps in GR3 and has been a near required unit for gb2
