Nepenthes (spathuata x truncata) x (truncata x merrilliana) should be amazing!!!! Hopefully my male Caesar will flower soon! Oh p.s, I have my spathuata x merrilliana in akadama, and it seems to be doing better for me now then my previous two plants have in the past!

Do you think eddys can thrive in 18c nighttime temps or is that too warm?

Hey! This is in the upper range of what needs for night temp drops! It should do fine as some have been found do grow in areas other than ultra highland so they can acclimate a little. It may not grow as fast for you but that is within the range for night temp drops.

I would be careful with minerals. Some plants can take it better than others but it is super easy to get mineral buildup and the plant will rot fast.

Do you think trusmadiensis is okay in 18-19 c nightime?

Hey! Umm, that one can be temperamental. It really needs drops into the 50 degrees F at night and that temp is at three upper range of it temps. I would be concerned with it at these temps given how much they cost. Nepenthes are great at adaptation but HL will struggle with not given the right environment for sure. That with the cost, it may not be worth the risk unfortunately.
