Also, 99% of shonen anime (like AoT) is adapted from manga. So when big long sentences or inner monologues get adapted into an anime, it looks like they're just "standing there talking" and not acting, but really, they're just trying to stay true to the original script. It just feels different when it's a moving, visual medium as opposed to one that you read.

I'm too used to watching younger reactors on AoT. Only a few of them are above 30yo, and very rare of them above 40yo. So I'm very intrigued to see how these parents take on AoT as it is a very complex and deep show. Life experiences do affect how someone perceives things. Most of the reactors I saw are one-sidedly judging the characters, which is a normal take tbh, but some are also able to see from the other point of view. And for these guys to question who's good and who's bad at this point of story is actually amazing. I can't wait to see their take on S4.
