The newest errors are cladding errors were the inverse copper layer on the obverse is opposite of the reverse copper inner layer ! You can find them just by looking at the ridges of the coin !

Im brand new. and Im 60. I learn so much listening to you. I wish I had someone to run some coins by, sometimes I think im seeing shat that aint there...lol Can you some times go over what the different errors are, and where they are on the coins you show. There's channels that go over the different errors. CoinhelpU is one of them. Copper Owl coins is another. There's a bunch. Just ask around and you'll find some good leads.

It just takes time. I have a good 3 or 4 years of watching videos and reading and searching and learning. Ive listed about 8 coins sold 6 . Just takes time. For 45 dollars I think Shaun will look at a couple of your coins and give you help and advi e via e mail at least he used to you can check by e mailing him if you want. Luck to ya :•)

Hello, if you are looking to learn about errors varieties etc, I would suggest getting two books: Cherry Pickers guide or strike it rich with pocket change. Additionally, watching videos, or stopping by your local coin shop. Good Luck!

I would suggest going to your local banks and getting to know them very well especially if you are a coin roll hunter. I'm both a coin roll hunting and bill searching. Your local banks are a good place to start.

Roll hunting Halves for Silver has virtually dried up in the last 5 years; Cherry picking is where it’s at on errors on halves!

You can pick up many mint errors at your LCS for $5-10, they don’t like them in their inventory.

These BeeHive die chips are difficult to spot as many are really small, examining the reverses closely helps spot them.

New to collecting at 48 years old. So far I’ve found an 87 quarter that appears to be damaged by another quarter and split in up to the center of the coin. Not 100% but I believe that one is legitimate. Now I do have three double denomination nickels that may very well be vise nickels but I’m not sure yet. Also have a 1964 D penny that has a grease strike which makes the “T” in Liberty look like a Y.

So is it worth grading a 1982 small date there's no mint mark so it's Philadelphia weighs 3.1 g and penny is full red.

On the No FG Kennedy Half…What about the Squished 9 (almost looks like a 0 ) in the date ? Isn’t that an Error too, or just bad photo ? AND in the 1881 3 cent piece..Doesn’t the Photo, not only show the Mark by the word OF, but doesn’t it Also show doubling of the Lettering as well ?

Dern, why can’t sellers flatten their staples; or better yet use stapler that flattens for you, not expensive; but those staples if shipped with other coins can and will occasionally cause scratches and damage; I switched to a self flattened stapler 25+ years ago!
