You can stop “toning” you specifically need a glass microfibre cloth, and liquid Silvio. Apply a small drop on the coin face and in a directionally and gentle manner polish the coin until bright. Silvia the best stuff and it will also get rid of milk spotting

I’ve seen same coins with amazing patina/toning. Most of my coins are untouched and like you say protected by Desiccator Pads. I have allowed myself to have one coin, a 2016 1oz Britannia that I play with all the time. I’m hoping it will tone nicely.

Adding to the storage aspect, I have a PELI case, they are air regulating and fire retardant military grade cases, with pin and pluck foam, very user friendly and adaptable, I have the 1170 case which can store with capsules up to four rows of 17 1ounce coins

2002 Britannia will be 0.925 sterling silver, not 999 fine silver. It's therefore very slightly heavier, as it still contains 1oz of silver.

I think premium pieces have every chance of being as good as an investment as standard bullion,obviously you won’t get the best resale price from a bullion dealer but you have every chance from another collector.Granted,some so called limited items are nothing more than a scam. Caveat emptor👍
