I don't pretend to know the politics of who the NBA chooses to win but I didn't expect that for OKC or SGA. I would have guessed he could be replaceable as a superstar if he can't do it in the biggest moments or could be delayed a year if he just isn't quite ready to do it in the biggest moments. I was surprised how much work it took to get OKC the W. I wouldn't have thought they would have needed that much support. With Zion potentially coming back later in a long series, I would have guessed the NBA would have been happy with what was going to naturally unfold.

With chet on the floor they basically can play a 5 out offense, chet can pop to the 3 instead of rolling to the basket. Jonas cant move quick enough to rotate or closeout so he ends up playing drop coverage to protect the rim and his teammates have to recover for him. If chet is on the 3 and Jonas in the paint its 5 on 4, so the pelicans basically dare chet to make 3s and he shoots 37%. At the start of the game pelicans were trying to post up Jonas on chet and it had some value but they went away from it to quickly.

Zion is not done. and a series doesnt start until the Home team loses. Zion will probably play game 3. Unless the Pelicans win game 2.. if they win game 2, there is no reason for Zion to rush back. If they lose game 2, Zion will play in Game 3. If they win Game 2 and 3, Zion will sit out Game 4 as well. If they're lucky, they wont need him until Game 6. If the thunder go down 3-1, the thunder will probably win game 5. So Zion could have until May 3rd (12 days ) to heal before he comes back.
