@Siege181
@Siege181 4 жыл бұрын
To be honest mate, I started using the AO dampening pad with makeup brushes a few months ago. The dampening pad helps to keep moisture at just the right consistency. I then indulged myself to a set of the series D recently and haven’t looked back! You get so much more control and consistency with the AO brushes, they are DEFINITELY worth the investment! Just make sure you follow the cleaning instructions and they will last far longer than any makeup brush. Plus it means no more pretending the Primark makeup brushes are for my wife.... :D

@@Siege181 I fully intend to pick up the small D and dampening pad for my marines, and get other sizes as needed when I get some vehicles. @Siege181
@Siege181 4 жыл бұрын
Greig Pil to be honest I only use the AO cleaner for my series D’s as you leave the cleaner in overnight then “flick” it out gently next morning. If you are investing in any of the AO series Ds I’d recommend the AO cleaner just to make sure you keep it in optimum condition! Oh and I would SERIOUSLY advise getting at least the small texture pallet, really helps with the control of the paint of the brushes!

Oh man, kind words! If there's a big takeaway from my recent years of not painting as much, but thinking about painting more it's than there's actually no rules for anything, and there's an example for everything! Even if you want to look at a bunch of amazing colourful flowers and do your GUO in those it'll probably look amazing done right, there's so many examples of 'crazy' schemes in nature that you could apply to mini painting - I think this guy would look amazing going from purple to yellow personally! Genuinely - google 'colourful flowers' and 'colourful frogs' and your mind will start exploding with possibilities :D

That result is hard to argue with for 90minutes work, looks really impressive, for the weapons my first instinct would be to properly rust them all over, I'd probably just run a pencil round the edges of the blade for the metallic effect and coat the rest with a rust finish for guaranteed tetanus, but having seen the flesh, I don't know if that would mesh well with the rest of the model

Kiri send me over to this video. Hadn´t had the chance to watch it previously yet, but your tutorials have been so educational and interesting. Drybrushing hasn´t really been too much involved with my painting, but watching you do it... Mesmerising. Would love to have the chance to try your brushes sooner or later, maybe learn them together with my fiancee, who I´ve managed to talk into playing 40k with me once we get her atleast a combat patrol worth of Slaanesh Daemons painted. So yeah, definetly more tutorials for daemons. Would love her to get more into painting as layering and traditional edge highlights have put her off of painting, but learning to do it your way might just be the answer for some great hobbytime as a couple in the future! Cheers for the great work, keep at it!

Sent here by Kirioth for this video. I love the stuff you guys put out as far as tutorials.....They have helped me quite a bit. Tried to win some of these brushes probably around 100 times, but I'm keeping the faith lol. 🙏🏻🙏🏿🙏🏽

KiriothTV sent me lol . Very impressed - was wondering about these brushes. As an Ork enthusiast- skin tones matter a LOT and this has inspired me to consider the gargantuan squiggoth with the help of these tools 😁✊ New subscriber! Much appreciated 🤘 Blessings of the Grandfather be upon you 🙏

This looks like a blessing from the Lord of Decay himself. I could only dream of getting to this level of skill and patience. I can't wait to take some of the tpuch up skills to my own stuff to spruce them up.
