If the ball is picked up off the ground by the center, it is snapped. The QB doesn’t have to take it.

He has to snap the ball and the ball leave his hands. If the ball does not leave the centers hands and it's advanced, that's a snap infraction. If the center snaps the ball and the QB just sets it on the ground after receiving the snap, the center can pick it up and run with it.

I’ve seen and played against teams where they get in their stance and the QB says “easy easy” and they stand back up, but the center picks up the ball when he stands up and the officials play it out as if it had been snapped and we literally just tackle the center and the officials say the ball was snapped and he got tackled.

No cuz he’s at the end. There have to be 7 guys on the line, 5 interiors are ineligible and the 2 ends are eligible, doesn’t matter who snaps the ball. So the far left guy on the line is also eligible to catch a pass and either the guy on the right side of the line or the second left guy on the line is also eligible but I can’t see their numbers.
