If you add anything to "honesty" or "justice" then the new form is a lesser one. There is nothing to add to honesty and justice, there is no such thing as being 'completely honest' or 'too honest'. Unfortunately, our brains can't always tell the difference between needs and wants. As a drug addict, now with more than two years sober, I can tell you that there have been times in my life that things I knew were detrimental to my life experience seemed like greater needs than things which were actually needs. There was a time, too, in my life that sex felt like a need. Less so, going into my late twenties and early thirties, where natural testosterone production tends to drop sharply, in males, than in my late teens, and early twenties. It now feels like other wants, rather than a compulsory act. However, the cultural norms surrounding male sexuality are definitely toxic, and greater emphasis on equality, and, especially, empathy, need to be instilled in growing men, IMO. Granted, I am neurodivergent, and my life experience has been pretty far outside what is typical, so take what I say, with a grain of salt. Have a great day, to anyone reading this! 😃

Any lasting relationship requires sex. If that want isn't being met, he has little to reason to be with any female. Sex is a form of mental and physical intimacy. Sex itself is a big deal to females as well. Women don't have sex with a male unless she is emotionally invested in that male. females and males both value sex but in different ways and they definitely make a big enough deal out of it that it's enough to make a relationship end and that's just the truth. Having, friends, family, a place to live, etc. Those aren't needs, you most definitely can live without those. However, people make a big deal about the stuff and some may treat it as a need. You're oversimplifying the significance of specific things for others. Don't even get me started on the fact that is WAY MORE HARDER for a guy to get sex than a woman and incels are proof of that.

Speaking to women has always been incredibly nerve-racking for me because I'm pretty behind when it comes to social development due to a speech impediment that only recently started being managed. I can really only do it if I'm obliterated off alcohol otherwise my anxiety personality sticks out like a sore thumb and my stutter gets way way worse. Like a debilitating stutter not the regular nervous stutter people get. Thankfully I never fell down the PUA/incel/manosphere stuff but I really hope one day I have enough self confidence to speak to women without having to be intoxicated

100% we need to get these men out of the mindset that females are an entirely different species because they will treat them as such. One of the best things I learned from female friends is that they are literally just humans too and they want to be treated that way, typically they don’t want you to view them as another species and put them on a pedestal or put them down. They’re just a person they could be nervous too, but importantly they want to be loved like the rest of us, treat them as such.

Take a shy/smiley/giggly "no" or "stooop" as straight up no. A harsh no is tough to say if the reaction to rejection can be dangerous. Even with men who you know will listen, confrontation is hard, we are socialised to be pleasant and it's a continuous effort to go against those self preserving instincts of not making men angry

Just because the women said they preferred honesty doesn't automatically mean that being honest will make them give you what you want. "the gender spend gap" - my experience is that women are expected to spend more on makeup, haircuts, health products (tampons, birth control), as well as clothes, etc. Yeah there is a gender spend gap, but it doesn't work the way these incels think it does. If anything, that is a reason why women should be paid more than men.
@muertesdulces2 жыл бұрын
yes. it's an expectation and critique of women who dont upkeep their "femininity" by maintaining those things (how men have historically thought they should). also i do wonder if basic household items like toiletries and towels count into this because 9.9/10 it's a woman purchasing these things for the entire household.

Birth control is as health related as cocaine or cigars. No man has ever expected or encouraged the purchase and use of makeup. When you’re only interested in dating 10/10 male model guys, there’s a false sense of competition when 100% of women are fighting over 10% of men, hence fakeup is “needed” to deal with the competition. Without any makeup or even showering, most girls could have a male partner for life within hours if they were prepared to settle for a guy merely 10-30% more attractive than themselves.
@htown114652 жыл бұрын
@@johnwilliams655 how is birth control as related to health as cocaine or cigars? Doctors prescribe birth control don't they - to both men and women now? If doctors prescribe birth control, why is it unrelated o health? Do doctors prescribe cocaine or cigars? Firstly, when did I say men expected the purchase or use of makeup? I didn't mention the gender of the people creating the expectation at all, did I? But secondly, NO man has ever expected the use of makeup? NO MAN? In the history of the world, you genuinely think that NOT A SINGLE MAN has ever expected a girl wear makeup? Do you really think that? Why do you talk about a woman getting a male partner for life? What has that got to do with wearing makeup? You don't think the reason women put on makeup is to find a partner do you? So you think a woman who puts on makeup before work is doing that, not so she feels like she looks good at work, but to find a partner? please, please, please let me know your answers to these questions. I am not sure why this man thinks that because it's better for men to be honest about their intentions equals women having to consent to him as long as he's honest. It's the entire point of being honest, so that you avoid people who wouldn't consent to your true intentions. Plenty of women are down, others aren't, that's their choice for their body. The point is to avoid confusion. If a woman says she doesn't want to have sex with you, but get to know you and you agree to go on a date, but then you keep trying to get her to sleep with you that night, there is a huge chance that woman will think you're a creep and situations of coercion can occur. The point is to avoid situations like this all together. Yes, you're a creep if you are dishonest and play relationship just to get into specific women's pants. A really big one is also not lying about sleeping with other people, because to consent properly people need to know the risk involved in sleeping with you. Whether that risk is emotional risk or sexual health, that should be a very transparent thing in any sexual relationship so that people can properly consent to what could happen to their body if you're sleeping with lots of different people. If someone you're trying to have a sexual relationship asks you questions that could impact their consent to be sexual with you, you NEED to be honest, or else you're a creep. Being a lying cheater, if you're with a woman long term and you go cheat, then come back to your long term relationship like nothing happened, that person is not longer consenting to you because you're withholding information from them that you know would change their choice to consent to you, they also are not able to consent to their sexual health being at risk BY YOU because they don't know you're been with other people recently. This is a MORAL discussion, it doesn't always equal legal. Sure you won't go to jail over this sort of consent blunder, but are you a bad person with low morals? YEP. It isn't being a player, you're being a creep purposefully blurring consent lines where you feel most women would stop talking to you.

It was weird for me because in high school, I was always the person who would just ask my partner, but then one person would get annoyed with me asking so I was just like confused on how I should even be in ‘intimate’ social interactions. But if you’re younger, people are gonna be odd and different since younger people are just trying to figure out their identity. Just be nice, and genuine, and if it doesn’t work out thats fine, things will work out eventually if you keep that same attitude. The whole “nice guys finish last” isn’t really a thing, because being nice to people will always lend positive results since you aren’t sacrificing integrity. That being said, there is a difference between being nice, and letting people walk all over you. Try to be considerate and trustworthy, and if you communicate with a partner about each other’s boundaries it should be alright. At the same time, work on yourself, and your own insecurities, and it will help you with maintaining fruitful and trustworthy relationships.

That’s why I feel taking courses in linguistics or just learning about linguistics from anywhere (library, scholarly articles, etc.) is such a valuable thing. I’m in an English MFA program and a couple of courses I have taken already delve deep into how communication, in all forms, shapes the world around you. It will never make everything 100% clear, but it provides a good base of knowledge and understanding about discourse. It should really be put into higher importance in general education.

Like men will treat women so nice and make the woman feel so loved when in reality all he wants is sex. That’s not privilege if anything it’s heartbreaking for so many women to realise the man you loved has just been using you.
