The irony is that in lay man terms it means "working-class" and Hassan tries to use it to defend the working class, but by indulging in the privalidge of a higher level education to know what that word means inherently places you in the middle and/or upper-class. Which was why Ludwig did the pinky sip. Which is a subtle middle finger to the bourgeoisie (upper-class), that would often be used at fancy parties. Which again is ironic because in order to be invited to any of these fancy parties you had to be part of the bourgeoisie society in the first place.

It's crazy how prevalent homophobia still is in today's society. I can't tell you how many jobs I've had, especially fast food and warehouses, where I would see people being visibly uncomfortable when interacting with gay employees. Or say ignorant shit like, "I'm not homophobic, I don't care if you're gay. I just don't want them hitting on me because then we have a problem." Or worse. It's also almost always the least attractive mother fuckers saying that shit. I always say something along the lines of, "What makes you think they're going to hit on you? Trust me, if chicks don't hit on you then a guy isn't going to hit on you. They literally have higher standards and your market value is NOT that high. Also why would you hit on someone you know you have absolutely 0 chance of ever hooking up with? That makes no sense." Also low-key I take it as one of the highest compliments a person can receive when I get hit on by a guy. I went to the popular gay bar in the area a couple years back with my gf at the time and it was the BEST experience at a bar I've ever had. I had drinks bought for me, everyone was SUPER nice to me, everyone was super respectful of the fact I was straight, and it was just a lot of fun. The funniest thing that happened was my ex's best friend brought her boyfriend, who was a little homophobic. Someone grabbed his ass and he thought they took his wallet. Since his hands were full, he was carrying drinks back to our area, he asked if I could check and make sure he still had his wallet. My hands were also full carrying mine and my gf's drink, so I was trying to rearrange how I was holding the drinks to free a hand. Then this dude walked back and grabbed both of our asses at the same time and said "I got you! Both of your wallets are safe." I busted out laughing. Homie looked shocked/ angry but then saw me laughing and realized not only was it funny, but that it was ridiculous to get mad that he got his ass grabbed in a gay hookup bar and started laughing as well.

Just to clarify about pineapples, the irritation in your mouth is from the BROMELAIN breaking down the inner lining of protective mucous in your mouth. eating too much too fast, causes the buildup and eventually pain. you can avoid this for a longer period of time if you heat the pineapple before consumption which breaks down the bromelain. OR you can have creamy dairy products like yogurt or ice cream. milk is NOT recommended since the pineapple can actually curdle the milk.

Though there are probably a lot of reasons, women often put up a guard before they find out a guy is gay because they are afraid of "sending the wrong signals". So like I went first and picked My Hero Academia, we watched all the seasons that were out at the time. Then he picked RWBY, we watched all the seasons that were out. So on and so forth. We actually had to pick shows that were completely finished because when the new seasons would come out of the shows we had watched previously, we would watch the new episodes before continuing whatever show we were watching at that moment. So at one point we were having to watch like 3 episodes of different shows first. We have buddy watch at least once a month now, because of life getting in the way, but we were doing it once a week. im so late to the conversation, but as a black "nerdy" person who grew up consuming content that was not inherently "meant" for me its comforting to see people like me in these spaces and communities providing a home. Speaking from a black person's perspective, culturally you get made fun of for primarily consuming things like twitch, KZbin, Minecraft, anime, comics etc. and then its like okay well I'll go to these communities where we have this in common yet your still an outsider because there will always be that barrier. which I think is why people like I show speed or Kai Cenat or Bruce have such a large following, because they appeal to and provide a home for all sides and versions of the internet. Whether that be black or white or call of duty or even Minecraft. 42:17
@roytheparadox6502 Жыл бұрын
Anime has gotten pretty popular within the black community, especially amongst millennials and younger. I know I'm white so it seems like I don't have any room to make that comment. But I lived in the hood as much as I lived in the suburbs. I lived in the hood when I was really young then spent middle school to high school living in low income housing in the suburbs. Then when I was 18 I got a job in a pretty rough area, but I didn't have a car so I got an apartment a mile away from my job. I worked in food for 10 years and for most of that time I worked near where I lived, which were predominantly black neighborhoods because rent was cheap. Plus I did a lot of drugs at the time and was driving on a suspended license for most of that time, so I liked that the cops had better things to do than harass/ pull me over for no reason. In a lot of the places I worked and lived from 18-28, I was one of the only white dudes, and most of the black dudes my age or younger were into anime. Then when I moved over to warehouse work, started making more money, and moved to a better area I had almost no one to talk to about anime. I will also say, living in the areas I lived really opened my eyes to the privilege I have as a white person. I was never racist, but i come from a very poor family that's also conservative, so I really bought into the "there's no modern white privilege" rhetoric. Because being poor in predominantly middle to upper-middle class suburbs where the population isn't that big, we got singled and harassed by the cops a lot. Then when I was one of the only white people in my neighborhood I really got to see it. I got treated better almost anywhere I went. The cops never bothered with me even when my tags were hella expired but I would see people get pulled over for DWB all the time. Talking to my neighbors and coworkers I got to see how different my harassment of law enforcement in the suburbs was to their harassment. I got promoted quicker at my jobs, even though there were employees that I had been working for those positions WAY longer than I had even been working there. I would see people just as qualified or with more and better experience get turned down for jobs it was super easy for me to get. I finally fully understood what white privilege was. Even in these areas where I was the minority, I still had a leg up because I was white. I got treated better, had an easier time, faced less obstacles, and even had an easier time finding places to live because I was white. I would have apartments let me constantly be late on rent and rarely ever charge me late fees, but literally try to evict black families for barely being late a couple of times. It definitely pushed me further to the left and helped with my radicalization as a leftist.

As someone who orbits the mcyt community I can say that the jideon thing wasn’t very talked except when it happened. 53:34 reason why lobbies was so crazy when we were kids is because the internet was still the wild wild west. If you need further proof we called offline irl, because we always considered online as nothing but fake. A completely independent space from "real life". However nowadays the internet is a fundamental part of our lives and is just as real as offline. Long story short the internet gained legitimacy and more accountability so there can be consequences for your actions.

Exhale through your mouth (not ridiculously but a decent exhale) 2. Drink the stuff 3. Inhale through you nose. that's how youre supposed to taste the barrels and cream and whatever shit, through the nose you can smell the barrels and whatnot, but that fancified method and the fancified ritual of it has gotten me through a lot of bottles of cheap whiskey while I lurked my streets

47:30 jideon doing that is also extremely frustrating because it's also about humiliating girls, whether he meant that or not.
