Sure. But most 8 year olds aren't actually trying to create a mythical creature. However I'm supposed to believe that a guy who's a genius, didn't realize an eagle and a lion aren't going to breed together no matter what you do. Even at 8, a person who claims to be studying the matter, and IS a genius, should have known that already. It's just a bad joke that doesn't make any sense.

Watching these older TBBT clips makes me realize that once the girls became more integrated into the show, it lost its charm such as producing scenes like these. The show started focusing them getting married… having kids… it simply became just another show. A show that was about a group of genius nerds, obsessed with comic books & conventions, sci-fi, video games & superheroes, with one of them in love with the hot girl next door, was turned into… “Friends”.

Is this rhetorical or did you want an answer? It's a tv show. They have to do many takes to film each scene. If the actors actually ate, they would be absolutely stuffed by the time they got good takes. Also, they would make a mess, which would get spots of sauce and whatnot on the boxes or on their shirts. You would get a lot of continuity errors - where something is present in one shot and different in the next. There might be a stray noodle hanging out of the box on one good take but not on the other. So it's safer to just pat stuff with a fork and make chewing motion so none of this happens. The audience should be focused on the characters and dialogue, not the props. Case in point - there have been scenes in this show that I saw several times before I realized they were scratching french fries on a plate with a fork.

I honestly prefer the early seasons over the later ones. Back when the story was about a few nerds trying to thrive in a world they could barely understand. It quickly became just another romantic comedy sitcom where most of the situations are stupid, and most of the women are borderline insane.

to be honest, most of what Sheldon says about his childhood is inaccurate until season 11. That's probably because season 11 was released in 2017 which is when season 1 of Young Sheldon came out. on the other hand, Sheldon said Lucky died when he was 8 and Young Sheldon begins when he was 9, so a year had passes I guess.
