Appreciate the feedback. Kinda finding my style as I go. Hope you have a great trip. As with anywhere, it'll be so much better with a bit of context/knowledge.

i am enjoying your supermarket comparison videos. as someone who has never been to japan, i would love to see a video from you about a chain supermarket that does high end and quality stuff, as opposed to the budget end. something like the equivalent of waitrose in the uk.

Thanks 😀 I did do a tour of Central Square Life on this channel which is nice, but I'm planning to go to Meidi-ya soon too.

@@TravellingBritishGuy That's brilliant, i've just seen that video after you mentioned it. Top notch, i'll give you another idea, after you do Meidi-ya, you could also do like a department store video. I'm sure the viewers would love that. :)

NHK made a documentary here called Document 72 Hours: A 24-Hour Discount Supermarket in Osaka. It is a fascinating watch as you seem to get an interesting collection of customers, many I found to be shockingly honest, such as talking about being estranged from their families and OAP's talking about caring for their hikikomori child. I can't imagine anyone being so open in a Lidle or Aldi.

That sounds up my street. I'll have a look but can be hard to find Japanese stuff online right

I've always found the more run down and dirty a place is in Japan the better the food. At least with restaurants, the chef/cook is normally a guy so old he should have been retired for at least a decade, but he's perfected his skill.

Yeah that can be the case, but it's also not always true and usually not in the case of supermarkets 😂
