I saw another streamer mention this: Paimon's recapping is much more needed for lots of players these days. In the most recent Caribert quest and this one, there is lore that a lot of players forgot that they had already experienced. The longer this game goes, her little dialogue recaps will continue to become more and more important for large swaths of the player base.

I actually really love that wanderer might be the one to befriend and stop Durin, Albedo was the successful experiment in a way, he wouldn't be able to get through to Durin the same way wanderer did, kinda like fakebedo too, though we don't know what technically happened between them we did see how he felt towards real Albedo back then, and I wonder if that sentiment is shared with Durin since fakebedo reformed because of Durin's remains

It’s funny because he actually doesn’t count as a domain, if you check the battle pass after doing any of the weekly bosses, andrius is the only one that gives you world boss progress and not domain progress

1:20:00 I saw that the majority of people that aren't "boycotting" Genshin on twitter and that have their culture on Natlan are a bit dissapointed because of the skin tones but they also believe there's other ways their culture can be represented, as someone that saw his culture in Natlan i agree as well! i personally think that a culture can be represented by the food, music and environment too. It's valid to remember that as a chinese company Mihoyo could have made way worse decisions in Natlan (conquistador archon concept i am looking at you), so i will wait for the release and experince the region before giving my final thoughts, thank you for giving your thoughts as well Dish. After seeing the counter backlash on the Chinese fandom side, I even wonder if what we have is a compromise to sustain interest in their domestic market while telling the story they want. Like this incident really opened my eyes regarding the Chinese consumer mindset and how different it is from the so-called Western fandom. I'm not saying what they did is right, but I felt like I understood quite a bit.

@@gab2v7 Yes, and when they heard about the EN VAs that spoke up there were calls for them to be replaced by AI. Like yikes, this sort of cancer is so aggressive and entrenched that it requires gradual deconstruction on their side, and if anything the boycott made them more proud of having the cancer. if Natlan can make the CN fandom learn more about the relevant cultures while remaining respectful in other aspects it's still a step in the right direction.

heavy agree, same was in sumeru, I hated how much people completely disregarded the whole nation and its representation when they did such a great job with the food, music, scenery, hell the eremites play oud it's such a neat detail come on! as a middle eastern I def noticed all the inspiration, even down to entering al haitham's house and it being decorated the way it is, different teams work on different things, the character design team and whichever higher up there is failed but I really hope we dont get another sumeru situation where you'd be placed at the stakes for saying "actually this was really nice!" and god forbid players start being racist to actual people of said cultures again, couldnt count how many times people completely disregarded actual middle easterners and their opinions just because they had lighter skin and even went as far as calling them colonizers, like excuse me what?

@@dan1a_636 Do you people not find it an issue that a company can take food, music, architecture, myths, words, even superstitions and put it into their game but not skintones of the people that whom these things belong to? The thing about Sumeru was that people could clearly see the inspirations and homages clear as day but there was a divide between light-skinned SWANA people who felt represented enough speaking over dark-skinned SWANA people. "There are pale people in India too!" "Most people in Iran are very pale" "Wait for Natlan" like why is it an issue to want to see darker skintones and why is there a need for fans to "settle" for what's already in the game.

I think the future content after the next archon war will be about dragons of the seven nations. The information of those have been released a bit in each version from sumeru, Neuvilette and now the announcement of the rise of Durin in Mondstadt.

Venti’s story quest will definitely get released during a Natlan patch, in the webtoon when venti is talking about the story of Vanessa, the traveller who’s next to him is shown having a pyro vision on.

Hmm this event suggests that the other mages are not human not really. Rhinedottir could be half dragon, Barbeloth a Seelie, the human race was just one that was represented in the hexenzirkel

@@meganclare7 It's possible but the purpose of the Hezenzirkel is to gather information about all of Theyvat to prevent a second archon war I am sure. It works kind of like our UN. I still do not believe Rhinedottir is evil I believe Irminsul is. Or rather I believe Irminsul needs Primordial water to make reality, when the roots grow down to the abyss it makes the world into a memory from the past, this is refer to Apep as the "status-quo"

@Dish When Alice said that The Traveler and Paimon are "from beyond the world," she was referring to the fact that The Traveler and Paimon were the only people there that didn't get pulled in by the story itself. Everyone else was pulled in because the magic of Simulanka pulled them in when Durin made his wish. But The Traveler and Paimon were pulled in by Alice herself. So because The Traveler and Paimon were the only ones NOT recognized by the story itself as part of said story, The Traveler's blessing came "from beyond the world." Which is also why The Traveler and Paimon don't get costumes. They are there as merely visitors to the world as opposed to part of the world itself. Also, Anya Andersdotter aka "M" is the author of "The Boar Princess." So if you want an example of her writing, you can always go read that. Yes it exists in the game. You have to collect all the volumes to get the full story though.

Although id love it, i doubt durin coming back to life will happen. Simulanka probably wont be permanent, and they arent gonna make an archon/story quest about an occurance in an event that most players wouldn't have been able to play 😭

I'm thinking whatever quest goes along with the Mondstadt expansion will feature the Durin resurrection storyline. Given how Natlan's themes are supposedly largely based on resurrection on a whole, I can see us getting the mond expansion in 5.X like we got the chenyu vale! Perhaps the Durin story quest will be apart of Venti's long awaited second story quest, while the expansion is separate content on its own (sort of like how Arlecchino's and Xianyun's story quests had nothing to do with the release of the Sea of Bygone Eras/Remuria and the Chenyu Vale). Given that the resurrection of Durin most likely will change Dragonspine forever, I assume that it won't be a limited time event (at least I'm hoping). There's still going to have to be a way to get vitalized dragonteeth in Dragonspine, so Maybe Dragonspine Durin will only resurrect for a short time, given that we need its heart to do that... (Plus not everyone has completed the Festering Fang Worldquest, so to avoid Quest Locking/completely making that story quest unavailable, he kinda has to stay dead, unless Durin somehow gains a secondary/human form, given the whole sentient doll/creation connection Wanderer has with Rhinedottir's children, namely Durin and Albedo). (Also mini-Durin pet when😭)

Wont it be totally fine to just stream story content? That's why I started watching you, your reaction and the convo around the story. Personally, i don't care much for watching exploration or pulling content. Because you put your eggs in multiple baskets now I think it should be completely fine to do less popular content. Also I don't think genshin is that popular anymore in terms of watching pulling content?
