I got the X01 rock bouncer version and love it. This thing looks just as bad ass. How was the build? The X01 was a pain the ass
@Imagine-Nation Жыл бұрын
Build wasn't that bad. Similar to the x01. But a lot more room for electronics
@beardedxj Жыл бұрын
@Imagine-Nation awesome! That was the hardest part of the x01 getting the dang electronics. Especially since I went bigger battery and retained the speaker and light controls all in the body. Took some rearranging the wheel base and shifting the chassis back to fit everything but it is awesome and crawls so well. Just can't remove the battery but I made it accessible to charge.

What transmitter are you using? You should do another video and show it with sound running full speed and showing off handling .

Mico futaba. I believe from gt55

Great vid. After watching this iv decided to go the GL racing route. One question are you happy with the kv of this motor or would you go higher or lower?
@Imagine-Nation Жыл бұрын
Personally I would go with the 3500kv. I'll never get full use of the 4500kv

Good to know. Cheers

@@Imagine-Nation I figured this would be overkill LOL. Which stock gearbox rpm would you suggest if going with the 3500kv? I'm thinking the 1000, as i feel the 3000 may be too little torque. not sure if it matters at this size lol. I used to have a 1/16 slash so I'm well aware of how easy it is to overpower. I ended up selling it because it was almost unusable
@Imagine-Nation Жыл бұрын
@Jake Hinds I'm glad I decided to go this route. I have lots of adjustments to play with. If you plan on doing some good jumps your going to want the 3k motor. I def wouldn't go below the 2k motor. But with those motors you will see a lot less torque.
@vendetter7276 Жыл бұрын
@Imagine Nation I totally agree, in the end iv ordered the 4500kv with the esc and program card I can alway reduce power if needed.

Can you put the links to the motor and esc please, and Btw cool car.

I used the 300 RPM motor For extra Torque

4500kv gl brushless.

I did the same kind of mod to my kit too! Only I used a 2500kv motor for more torque and a furitek ultimate esc. Does yours have any issues with clogging on the low end with direct drive? Or are you running a sensored set up? Once mine starts rolling it is dangerously fast but from the bottom it cogs like crazy. Thinking about buying sensored set up to see if it will fix it. Any insight would be much appreciated! Awesome build man!

Im.running a sensored system. It's incredibly smooth in acceleration all the way through the band

Did you need to solder the wires for the moror and does the esc and receiver have to be GL racing?

I have the same servo but the stock servo arm is too big to fit it, what did you use to make it work if you don't mind sharing?
@Imagine-Nation Жыл бұрын
I added a small drop of super glue to the inside of the stock servo arm and spread it around. Let dry and it was tight. I have since replaced with my own designed servo saver ones. You can print them off of printables.com if you want. They are pressure fit onto the servo and provide some flexibility to avoid damage to the servo when you do a big jump or crash.

Hi, is the original servohorn compatible with the new Titan Servo?
@Imagine-Nation Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. The stock servo horn was a little big for the gl servo I'm running.

Was the brushless motor a direct fit to the rear driveshaft? as in no extra hardware necessary to mount it compared to an n30 motor? awesome build.
@Imagine-Nation Жыл бұрын
No it was not a direct fit. I had to trim out the mounting location to allow it to fit. And I had to drill a small hole for the screw used for the driveshaft to attach to it. So no extra hardware just a little extra work.
@daytonburke7437 Жыл бұрын
Does that motor stay cool and any problems of cogging or diff blowing if not i might try that i got the nano in there alredy but i got that same esc and a spare 10k kv motor
@Imagine-Nation Жыл бұрын
No issues so far.running a couple races. It's too fast at 100% speed. I run at 50% and still walk everyone else.
