One idea that I had after seeing what some people were doing with the synchro machine and playing Pokemon prism, is maybe having puzzles that can take advantage of specific Pokemon attributes? Imagine for example there's a loose wire that's inside of a very tight hole and you have to send a Pichu inside to re-energize it or having to scale up a wall using Greninja. I think having a limited Pokedex can allow them to be a bit more expressive like they were with let's go and legends Arceus

Could be very interesting! Personally I don't want to control Pokemon directly, as I very much love the idea of them existing separately from my trainer, so the more autonomy they have the better! However, I can't say no to fun gameplay, so if something like what you proposed is done right and it's fun, then I'm still in!

Jonny an another reason to why I love Legends Arceus so much was the fact that it brought mechanics I never saw coming like crafting our own Pokéballs! Once we get more Legends ZA information starting February of next year we will get a peek to what these surprise mechanics going to be! 😝

Crafting was introduced in pokemon soulsilver and heartgold, by collecting apricorns and creating special pokeballs. Though I do agree with you, it was nice of them to revitalize that mechanic.

God I loved Legends Arceus. I'm partial of course because Pearl was my first pokemon game and I spent perhaps hundreds of hours playing. To be able to relive it in this new way, along with some backstory that really helps to shape the lore of the originals, was just so cool. I might just start a new save and play through it again!

Never expected GameFreak to put out something that stands in line with the rest of the gaming industry. It's up there with Bayonetta, Zelda (TP,OOT,MM), Okami, Nier Automata, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Banjo-Tooie, and more for me. I adore it

In the sky there could also be Arceus like in pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, where there's a staircase to the clouds where you can get Arceus. Before any of you say anything about it, I'm not saying that he's wrong at all I'm just adding onto the theory because it is called Arceus Z-A and the A could stand for Arceus while the Z stands for Zyguard.

A vertical expansion makes perfect sense for X and Y's coordinate motif. Yvetal, or Y, is up and down*, being a flying Pokemon involved with Sky Battles, while Xerneas and Zygarde are on the linear map. Frankly Yveltal was underused in XY, since despite the cover of Y depicting clouds, there was no sky area. Instead you don't even see Xerneas and Yveltal until Team Flare has already taken them from any context of where they were from or what adventure we might have gone on to find them... (*sometimes Z is up and down, depends on the engine)

I think that a great feature would be to categorize pokemon into rides: sky, land, search and clime. so the player can use their own pokemon to explore (Imagine flying on a shiny Rayquaza).

So one thing I would love after seeing the boss battles from legends is the option to to that with pokemon instead. Like instead of the trainer rolling around and throwing the food etc it's your pokemon actually dodging and attacking to weaken the pokemon allowing the trainer to catch them at the end. I felt incredibly frustrated not being able to defend myself in those battles so being able to use like Flamethrower or Water gun to counter the attacks instead of just dodging would be sick. The way balance that would be some sort of stamina feature so you can't just spam the same attack.

Going on the idea of ride Pokémon I think it would make sense for game freak to take a book from scarlet and violet and use Zygarde as our ride pokemon. Obviously we couldn’t use it for battle until the end game but I think it can work, we already have a land form as it’s 10% which could be the digging form like Ursaluna and 50% as Wyrder or whatever the name is but they could make a 75% flying form, and 25% swimming form. It’s not that it can’t work either because Koridon and Miridon exist, but I think it would make sense to piggy back off of the what I’d assume success of scarlet and violets riding mechanics.

Hoopla's hoops opening a dimension to a wild (era)area before the city was built, is my biggest wish for the game. Nature is synonymous with Pokémon, it's the opening to every film etc. I don't see how they can confine the experience to a city. Unless the underground is full of greenery and waterways etc.

This idea isn’t much of a mechanic but rather a plot that’s been brought up twice within the mainline series. In kanto LT. Surge brought up the pokemon war, and became the frontline for X and Y. I’d love to see it brought to light in the new legends game.

i'd like to see them make a pokemon MMORPG consolidating all the worlds of pokemon where you can play and battle trainers, choose a path and starting region. you can choose to be an ace battler, part of team rocket, be a pokemon doctor each having things like herbology to pick berries and herbs to make mediine, things like that. you can even travel the world and see other regions like take a train to jotoh, or a sea plane to alolah, meet non NPC players and battle or trrade with them. raid battling with real players ect.

@@JohtoJonnyYT I’m convinced we will see something with Diance and carbink, like an old evolution of carbink, and my slot for a pokemon from Kalos that gets an upgrade is the Meowstic line, the desperately need it, and don’t come in a package deal like the Slupuff and Aromatisse lines. Though I could see any one of those getting a new form. Outside of that? Maybe Klefki, like some Ancient Key that turns him into a new form. But tbh I don’t think they wanna give Klefki the option to hold an Eviolite. Though they did give Duraludon that capability, so they’ve done with before

1. i think syncho-like battles where you physically dodge and attack as the pokemon could be cool, although it might take away from the normal turn style battles. 2. would like the feature from let's go where certain creatures are ridable was cool along with maybe small pokemon riding on shoulder. Me chechenics aside I know one thing I do want to see. This game will drop before Gen X games. However, I do not think Gen X will be that far away. We have pretty much nothing announced so far, but I do think it will be either the end of 2025 or if they want to mix it up sometime in 2026. What I want to see is one or two Gen X Pokemon get an early reveal by being obtainable in ZA. The Legends is made with older fans in mind and does not follow traditional tropes of the series. We use to get reveals of new Pokemon in the anime and Pokemon like Lugia were exclusively created for the anime and got used as a Legendary for the following Gens games. This is a good call back and this is not really something we see any more nor was it really a part of the video game series. To really pull this off they could have it not exist in the Pokedex and be an odd species that a trainer found when traveling another region. We could be given one or the trainer could want us to trade and it is either an egg or a random low level Pokemon that we have never seen. We could explore it and it's evolutions and not see it in the Pokedex and they could refuse to publicly speak on and confirm what it is but as fans we would know it is an early release of a Pokemon from Gen X. Uvdibt expect this moving forward from a Legends Game but this one is very likely coming out before the next gen and it also will likely release in 7 months or less from when I would expect the Gen X games to come out. It could even be closer a year apart but thst is still close. It is not like it comes out with 2 to 3 years before Gen X. So being thet close I woukd be disappointed if th3y did not take the opportunity to do this.

I'm almost certain Nintendo has Gamefreak's hands cuffed. This is why Palworld has learned to run. The Combat is almost perfect to what I imagine a Creature collector to be like. You can literally have your Creature run in third person using up to 4 or even 8 skills while dodging and running around even if you're locked in an arena when engaging in combat. BUT for some reason Pokemon has never done something as simple as this. Is it because it requires a bit more skill than your basic turn based game? Or is it because of the AMOUNT of animations needed to be done for over 100+ pokemons? IDk but it's doable and not impossible and could bring back former pokemon fans.
