I am sooo exited for Echoes of Wisdom. Finally my girl gets her deserved spotlight but also it’s not just a normal Zelda game where it’s just Zelda and not link but rather feels like ZELDAS GAME. I cannot wait to play it

The console wars was over for years now, with Nintendo as its winner. Ever since Sony and Xbox started putting their games on PC, that's when they admitted their defeat. Not just because that shows they don't care about their consoles(as much, and over time won't even bat an eye), but because that signals that their games will end up on former competing hardware eventually. Its already happening with Xbox, and its starting to happen with Sony. Making Sony and Xbox effectively just third party publishers. Guess whos the only one who still have actual exclusives? And if the Switch 2 ends up as powerful as it is rumoured to be, there will be no reason for third parties to skip it. And if Nintendo gets 99% of all games ever produced, why would the consumers buy other consoles other than the Switch 2? There is a very interesting discussion to be had about how the console wars ended with Nintendo's victory, but another war in its place, which I would personally call the "Platform Wars", but that's another discussion entirelly.

Just one question: What is the music called from 0:50 to 3:34? I'm wondering because I got that song stuck in my head for a long time and I can't remember where it was from.

Playing as Zelda fits the context and it looks fun. I'm excited for it.

Do not criticize The New Denpa Men so much (new Genius Sonority game). Fans like me have been waiting 12 whole years for these to come back from the 3DS.

Personally I'm alright with the idea *BUT* don't replace Link. Let him have a fleshed-out story like he did in Wind Waker and Twilight Princess--let him, the player, have an actual relevant role and sufficient screentime storywise

Do people NOT remember how Nintendo weathered the console wars of the 90’s after single handedly saving the North American video game industry??? Do they not realize they have some experience in this? Maybe, just maybe…. Nintendo has a sustainable business model…??? Others should take note.

I’m going to have to disagree. I don’t really think Nintendo is part of the console wars. They’re kind of, off to the side doing their own thing. The switch is just for Nintendo exclusives. But any shared games between consoles, Dragon Quest XI S for example, is straight up better off of the switch. SMT V thank god it got ported everywhere else. DQ3? Octopath all better abroad. Memories in Orbit will fall into this category too. I would love to have Bravely Default ported as well, but that’s here nor there. But imagine games like Age of Calamity on better hardware. I mean I’m going to get Brothership, and Echoes of Wisdom DAY 1, and LOVE THEM!! But Nintendo won the console war by not participating in the console war.

I'm not sure if we still can talk about A console war, Nintendo left the battlefield a long time ago and is living the time of it's life while Xbox and Playstation bleeding out

We went from Cereza a absolutely amazing character and with excellent character development excellent personality and badass then Viola the average protagonist who gets bayonetta killed and is basically just they’re it’s as if they were either forced to include a new protagonist or someone didn’t like Cereza

Personally I'm not really exited for Echo's of Wisdom because I'm not a fan of top down 2D Zelda Games but Sister loves 2D Zelda and she's very excited for Echo's.

Nintendo hasn’t fixed is the buttons Xbox has a button on the front b button on the right x button on the left and y button above and that’s why Nintendo switch controllers need to do.

Noooo not at all. Ace Attorney Investigations 2 was never localised officially. There's a fan translation and many people consider it one of the best ace attorney games. The investigation segments are pretty fun. Definitely a step up from PW.

I'd say that games like metroid prime 4 and maybe even legends z-a could come like botw, both for switch and switch successor.

Also the Edgeworth Investigations release is a duology, the first one is the bad one which was localized to English on the DS. The 2nd one is the one that wasn’t localized but is considered by many to be the best game in the series (it’s my fave be far, no other game holds a candle to it). The gameplay isn’t really just investigations, it’s sort of a mix of both the investigation and courtroom sections of the series mashed together, but it also kinda does its own thing. It’s much more of a spin-off than the GAA games.

HD-2D is not a term Square coined, it’s one that’s been floating around ever since Octopath Traveler came out and pioneered the artstyle. Not sure why you were so baffled by it, it’s just an accurate term for what the DQ remakes look like. I’m seeing a lot of hype for the new Zelda, but also a lot of trepedation from older fans due to the fear that the Era of the Wild philosophy might be bleeding into 2D Zelda, i.e. that “freedom” takes precedence over good level design and dungeons. I feel it’s unwarranted worry so far, we only got like max 20 shots from the game so imo it’s a wait-and-see type of situation.

Looking forward to the new Mario and Luigi game, Metroid Prime 4 looks really good that I might buy it if I have the money. The new remakes for Dragon Quest looks cool. New Mario Party for me and my friends to play. Im happy for the Ace Attorney fans because the 2nd game of Investigation was never released outside of Japan. The one I am excited the most is ironically the one you didn't show which tells me you aren't interested in this but that's okay. And that's the Marvel vs Capcom Collection. You cannot buy these games legally anymore due to Licensing issues and I don't have a PC to play Fightcade nor $500-$600 to buy an arcade cabinet and find space for it. We also wanted a new game but due to how much of a failure the last game was due to Disney's greedy policies. They think there is no audience for it anymore. Maximillion Dood reaction was justified, he was one of the ringleaders to bring these classic games back 3 or 4 years. Michael B Jordan also got involved in this movement as well and that's crazy in itself. I'm so happy we get to buy and play these games again and we can buy it physically and digitally, with really good online lobbies, easy gameplay for newcomers etc. this direct is incredible despite some weaker news in there. Overall everyone got something here and I'm happy about that.

I´m so glad that Mario and Luigi saga is returning. Man, I love this series! The battle system is always fun and very diverse, with many speacial moves and mechanics. I can´t wait to play it!

Just a few weeks back I finished playing the fan translation of Ace Attorney Investigations 2, which was the last part of the series I hadn't played yet. So I can answer your questions about the collection. The Investigations spin-offs do not have court cases, but this doesn't change as much as you'd think. They effectively combined the gameplay from the court segments of the main series with the gameplay from the investigation segments. What that looks like is: each chapter has you moving Edgeworth around in third person through a small number of interconnected rooms, looking for clues and talking to people. And during this process you'll run into people who give testimony in the traditional Ace Attorney style, where you go back and forth through the text nodes, pressing for more information and presenting contradictions. You don't have a single client to protect, but you can have a succession of people being wrongly accused before you arrive at the actual culprit. In my opinion the format is a step down from the other games in several ways, but not to such a degree that it makes or breaks the experience. It's basically just Ace Attorney with a few twists here and there. As to the quality of the games: it's a mixed bag. Of the 11 Ace Attorney games (including the Professor Layton crossover), I'd rank the first Investigations dead last. The writing just isn't very compelling. It's a perfectly playable game, but there wasn't any point where I was dying to know the answer to a mystery or to see what happened next to the characters. This game was officially translated to English. The sequel was not, which is a shame because it's a much better game. It's not on the level of The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures or Trials and Tribulations, but it's solidly middle of the pack. A highlight is the first chapter, which is so much better than any other first chapter in the franchise it's not even close. Toward the end the story becomes contrived even by the series's standards, and the ultimate resolution to everything didn't quite make sense to me (looking forward to the inevitable explainer videos!) but even then the plot is still engaging and the characters get taken in fun directions. It's good stuff. Theoretically you could jump straight to the second game, but I actually wouldn't recommend it. The first game does a lot of setup that the second game follows up on. Releasing the two together makes sense.

I am VERY excited about the new Zelda game. Not only is it a game where we get to play as Zelda, but it's a return of 2D zelda to a main console. And it looks like they're applying a similar ethos as BotW and TotK here, with the echo system, which has SO much potential for creative and unique gameplay.

Why does this even matter? We live in a market both are viable. X and KZbin creators making up fake drama for attention has gotten old over the years.

I think talking about winning the console war in 2024, when Nintendo is being successful by avoiding direct competition, is nonsensical. The concept of "console war" has been more hurtful to players than anything. It's polarizing marketing created to manipulate people. We should stop using it to do exactly the same on youtube videos.

Prime 4 looks much better than Prime Remastered. You have to look at some side by side comparisons. It’s noticeably improved. Nintendo didn’t show us the new elements yet, because they want to build hype. If they show it now, this far from launch, it will kill future hype, and give them nothing new to show off later. We will be drop fed until a prine exclusive direct before launch or something. We saw 90seconds of the opening area. It’s like 90 seconds of frigate Orpheon in prine 1

Not to nit pick, but Zelda isn’t using her magic. She is using a magic wand created by a fairy. Anybody in Hyrule could be using it. Unless she has other abilities that actually use her own power, it’s a massive letdown.

I am honestly not that big into Zelda as a Franshise. My favorite Zelda game is actully the Mosu spin off Age of Calamity. I really enjoyed that one. But I enjoyed a Link Between Worlds and I like playing as mages and summoners so I am interested.
