Nice to see Adobe enhance this feature, but Topaz DeNoise AI is way ahead of this and offers a lot more control. I take a lot of concert photos and can't use flash, so I'm restricted to a ISO of 2500 or more and it does a great job. Oh, and it's not restricted to RAW.

The masking is Lightroom specific. Denoise is also available in Photoshop Camera Raw.

DXO still does a lot better job denoising and it's a lot faster too. I simply run DXO on a batch and then load all DNG files into LR.

You have to be in Camera RAW, a part of Photoshop. When you either open a RAW file in Photoshop, Camera RAW will be the first thing that shows up. Or when you have a file open: at the top, go to "Filter", Camera Raw Filter and that will open up Camera RAW. Here you will find a similar lay out like Lightroom.

You can download and install all Adobe software through the Adobe Creative Cloud app. Just look for Applications and there you'll see all the different options.

Once you've applied the Denoise to your image and Lightroom has created this extra DNG file, you cannot make any changes to the Denoise as it's embedded in that new DNG file.

i have lightroom classic 12.0.1 on my windows and there non of the feature you showing.... creative cloud says its the latest version. weird.... on my mac its 12.3 and all the new feature are there.

I’m pleased that Lightroom has this great denoise feature but I’m upset that I won’t be able to use it unless I purchase a new laptop, my dell Inspiron 15 7000 cannot run the denoise function 🙁

Yes it is quite demanding, that's unfortunate! It's supposedly most demanding on the GPU, you could look into a possible upgrade of that. It should be much less costly than an entire new laptop. However, definitely do some research if it's at all worth it! 👍

@@SightseeingStan Yes the GPU is the culprit I think, hopefully it’ll fix the problem. Your machines estimated time was in seconds, on mine it was 12 minutes and shortly after there was an error report.

Denoise is only available in Lightroom Classic (LrC). If you don't have it available, you are most likely not updated to the latest version. In Lightroom, on the top of your screen, go to Help > Updates.

It's most likely related to an inadequate GPU. That tends to be the common factor with people having issues with slow Denoise inside Lightroom.

@@SightseeingStan So for me this feature is showing in non-Classic Lightroom. The issue I'm running into is that I get the pop-up to de-noise, it supposedly generates the enhanced DNG, but then doesn't actually apply it to the photo as displayed in Lightroom. Trying to figure out what the frell is going on. This feature is a game changer for me, so I'm picking away at trying to get it working (hence stumbling on your video, which is excellent).

@@lisavaneekeren1 Could it be that the photo was taken in Compressed RAW instead of Uncompressed RAW? This is a setting you can change in your camera. Other than that, I am currently not aware of any other fix unfortunately...

OK! I need Adobe to stop with the separation and take all of the existing lightroom and new lightroom features and replace Lumetre with them! I don't know why they have a separate plug in when they could just put Lightroom into Premiere! That would make it compete with Devinci in my opinion.
