66 years of age and never touched a camera before I retired, now 4 years ago. And now I am obsessed by photography. Tried to learn some Photoshop on my own, but I keep forgetting how it works. Lr is easier and works fine for me. It's guys like you, who help me make better edits of my photo's. You explain things very well, calm and precise. Thank you so much. I liked and subscribed immediately. Greetings from Belgium and Happy New Year.

I finally found a tutorial that answers my questions about the tool. I've watched a ton of these and usually the 'teacher' spends 3/4 of the video showing what each slider does and then quickly edits a photo. They never explain why they chose to use a certain colour. 'I want to make this more moody so let's add blue to shadows and green to the midtones.' Ok, but WHY did you add blue and green? WHY some other colours wouldn't work? You really took the time to explain that and I'll watch some of your other videos for sure!! 🙌🏻

Came here to say that too! Showing the gradient really helps in understanding what each option dors, and for me a big takeaway was that the shadows adjustment had a really strong effect on the 75-50% grey, the mids to the 50-25% grey. And then the way the mids adjustment could be made more/less prominent by the slider ... I've always ignored this panel in lrc, but will be using it more from now on! Thanks.

Nice work explaining and demonstrating all the sliders associated with the colour grade panel. Other channels ignore one or more sliders, maybe because they don't know what they do? Awesome and clear af. Fun thing is the more you look to your image while adjusting color grading less you can tell something changed, just like with scents, you need to refresh them by sniffing some roasted coffee beans and with image you need to look away and focus your eyes at something far and then something close with few reps and also flip the image a few times.
